This is my favorite out of the Bridgerton series, althought "The Viscount Who Loved Me" is a close second! Unlike most men of his aquaintance, Gregory Bridgerton believes in true love. And he is convinced that when he finds the woman of his dreams, he will know in an instant that she is the one! And that is exactly what happened. Except.... She wasn't the one. In fact, the ravishing Miss Hermione Watson is in love wha another. But her best friend, the ever-practical Lady Lucinda Abernathy, would like to save Hermione from a disastrous alliance, so she help Gregory win her over. But in the process of helping Gregory, she falls for him. Except... Lucy is in engaged. And her uncle is not very inclined to let her out of her betrothal to another, even once Gregory comes to his senses and realizes that he love Lucy and not Hermione. And now on the way to the wedding, Gregory must risk his heart to ensure that when he kisses the bride, he will be the only man standing there. I gave this book 5 stars, because I love this series very much and Gregory was my favorite out of the Bridgerton's even when he was little. He was very funny when he was younger, throughout the series you'll see, although he does not speak very often in the series, when he does or does an action, its funny. Like tossing peas at his sister Hyacinth.

The time has come for ...
The time has come for the last of the Bridgerton siblings to find love...Finally!I adored the Bridgerton family. Their little banter and their paths to true love. Or so I thought I did. The first few books of the series were enjoyable, if not earth-shattering. But things had started to go downhill ever since 'when he was wicked.' Gregory Bridgerton. How should I describe him? He seemed like a guy who has it all, who does not need to lift a finger to achieve it. And exactly the worst sort of hero I have in mind. He's like what. 26? And he's still drifting through life without a job or profession, in hopes to wait for the one who would change his life forever (or beat some sense into his head) to appear? I'm sorry to say but Gregory is not in the least manly when compared to his three brothers. At least, they're not long-winded and mushy. I also found 'on the way to the wedding' to be lacking in chemistry, for I can't quite gauge the love the two main characters have for each other. Is Lucy truly the one, or is she just a balm for his injured pride? All in all, I think this a satisfying read and a fitting ending to the series.

I Liked Gregory and Lucy right from the beginning. I did not really like how Quinn added "subtitles" to every chapter ie: chapter 12 - were our Hero and heroine have a strange discussion... this just took away from the book I think.. I like not knowing when something good is gonna happen. Overall though the book was still good. And I am glad there are some epilogue books to read as I am going to miss the Bridgertons!

Gregory doesnt have a...

Gregory doesn't have a lot of time to shine in his sibling's stories - he's always away at school, so it was nice seeing his own story. I thought the conflict was a little random, but it wrapped up nicely enough. Really, I think the best thing about these books is the family, it's not something you see often in historical romances, but the way the family interacts and how much they love each other, it's just nice.

This is the last Bridgerton book, and like all the rest, I quite enjoyed it! Gregory is quite a bit unlike his older brothers - he's a total romantic rather than a rake - which I find to be quite adorable. Lucy, on the other hand, is a strong woman who tries to take care of all of her problems herself, even to the extent that she's willing to give up the man she loves to save her family. She does not do this, however, by getting desperately out of time period - she is able to be a strong woman within the confines of the social structure of the day. Brava to Julia Quinn for that! This book is charming, and I highly reccomend

I liked this book much...

I liked this book much better the second time around. I still find the whole plot with Lucy's uncle to be a little painful, but Quinn does a very good job of building the relationship between the two even when neither one thinks they are falling in love.

Quinn is back in top f...

Quinn is back in top form here - the dialogue sparkles, the narration is wonderfully witty, the balance between Bridgerton family feeling and one individual's romantic adventure perfect. I've wondered what she would do with Gregory because as a loyal reader of the Bridgerton series I did have a hard time thnking of him as anything but a bratty 13 year old throwing food at the dinner table. I think she came up with a pretty cool answer: she took advantage of his youth and made him into a passionate mooncalf prone to dramatic gestures and sweeping generalizations. The book is about Gregory growing up - letting go of love at first sight and learning to love somebody who he really likes to be with. As Gregory stands up for what he wants and what he believes in, as he takes on the responsibility to protect Lucy and ensure her happiness, he becomes an adult. Lucy, naturally, is delightful - although a lot of Quinn's heroines are very similar. Not the prettiest of the bunch, but witty and fun to be around and usually pretty practical. Lucy is also obsessively neat. The book has a great twist, which is so great I don't want to say anything more about it.
