NanaFran - 5 out of 5 stars review1/14/2015I was hunting for a printer that I could complete my ancestry search and stories in black ink only. This is that printer. It was easy to install on my Windows 8.1 computer. The installation was so smooth, that all I had to do, is sit back and let it look for my internet provider. In a few short moments, I was able to print a file from my computer in the bedroom, to my printer in the living room. Wal-Mart made this "business style" printer/copier/scanner" affordable with a great price, shipped it the same day I ordered it, and I literally had my email delivery notice just moments after it came into their store. I had the best Walmart Christmas experience ever, and I love this printer for my family publishing needs.

First time using duplex printer, seems to be noisy when printing. Needed laser printer to get away from inkjets and cost of printing.

We needed an extra machine without the fax feature, so this version is quite suitable and basic for our home office needs. It is extremely easy to set up and to operate. I would definitely recommend the functionality and reliability of this and other Brother models. In addition, the fact that you can call customer support for free is a real benefit. In all the years we've owned Brother printers I've only had to call once!

The setup was easy and I was able to connect a second laptop to the printer without any hassle. It does just what I need at such a fast and quiet pace. It doesn't print in color, but it scans in color. If you just need the basics, then this is for you.
