Experience the volatile and deadly world of one of New York's most dangerous precincts through the eyes of the men and women pledged to protect and serve. Starring Golden Globe winner Richard Gere, Oscar nominee Don Cheadle, Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke, and Wesley Snipes, Brooklyn's Finest 'grabs you and doesn't let go until the final frame' (Mike Sargent of WBAI Radio). When NYPD's Operation Clean Up targets the notoriously drug-ridden BK housing project, three conflicted New York City police officers find themselves swept away by the violence and corruption of Brooklyn's gritty 65th Precinct and it's most treacherous criminals. Each man finds himself spiraling toward the same fatal crime scene and a shattering collision with destiny in this action-packed crime drama directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day).

too much angst

This movie was awful. The acting was bad, the dialogue and over all plot was bad, the directing was so-so, and life in the inner city isnt what hollywood makes it out to be. There was way too much cusrsing, nudity, and black-stereotyping in this film.

A Must Buy

This movie was in my opinion a great movie. The acting was good. Ethan Hawke and Don Cheadle give great performance. The dialogue was good. The directing was fantastic, one of Antoine Fuqua's (the director of training day) best. The movie is not putting an emphasis on inner city life but the spotlight on 3 inner city cops surrounded by the pressures that cops face every day. You have one that has a large family and makes hardly any money but is surrounded by drug money and the temptation of it swirls around him. Then you have one undercover cop dealing with personal problems, he wants to do good becoming emotionally connected with the people he is working to bust. Then you have a burned out cop who has seen everything, has a drinking problem and is just trying to make it to retirement. This movie was not meant to be bright but dark and the music supports that. There is a lot of cursing but what do you expect from cops that deal with drug dealers everyday and people who don’t appreciate them being there to help them, there is nudity but not very much of it and in my opinion this film is not stereotyping blacks, but can come across this if you look for stereotyping all the time. I recommend this movie for any movie collection.

BAD MOVIE

If this is one of Antoine Faqua's best films then I dont want to ever see his other films. This movie was horrible. It had bad acting, bad directing, and an over-all bad plot. There was way too much cursing and nudity.
