Your water filter pitcher can be ready to use in a few steps. Wash your hands before touching the filter, then flush it with cold water for 15 seconds. Insert the filter into the reservoir. Add cold tap water. The first three pitchers of filtered water may contain carbon dust. Use on plants or discard. Replace the water filter every 40 gallons or 2 months. Substances reduced may not be in all users' water.

No Lid??!!

Without a lid over the spout as other models have....the 'filtered' water can collect dust, particles, etc. So....back to the store it went....and worth paying another $5.00 for the same model but with the flip up lid as my 7 year old Brita pitcher had!

    bigger than I thought

    I ordered this Brita from Walmart.com to replace one that was about 15 years old and got cracked. I was surprised that it was much larger than my old one. Being bigger means that it holds more water but also makes it heavier for me. I decided to just not fill it to the top so that I don't have a problem with it.

    So Far So Good!

    You can't see it working or know it's working since it's water. So I only assume it is. If so, then So Far So Good! It's saving me a lot of money from purchasing bottled water for my household. That's why I give it a '5'.

    Great purchase,GREAT FLAVOR WATER NOW

    Read reviews,saw some bad,so was hesitant,bur decided to make mt own determination. Glad i dud great product yes can only filer so much at time but it goes fastcand can just sit it under facet and refill as water fiklters thru,. It will b full in abour 15 min or so. Suggestion was made to run 3 pitchers first as set up,and that was good idea,gets that new taste out of ir. Pitcher top does not lock down but thats not as issue,has nothing to do with flavor of watee. We camp and the coffee now is fantastic,makes a whole better flavor. Weve made tea,same thing. We still buy bottled water, but this will be our go to for camping. Im seriously thinking of gettinf one for work for my desk,well worth the money.
