Born This Way is exhilarating. It is definitely a step away from The Fame and The Fame Monster. While it might not be as mainstream or lyrically mystifying as Lady Gaga’s previous releases, Born This Way's beats and vocals are on a whole other level. The album is well rounded, each song exploring unique sounds, but all the songs incorporate a similar techno-dustrial style. It is first and foremost a dance record, but pulls more influence from heavy metal, 80's pop, grunge and dubstep than before. Born This Way is a revolution for Lady Gaga as she continues to push the boundaries of pop culture. The album begins strong, has a solid core with virtually no filler, and ends with a mighty bang. Gaga’s message of individuality and acceptance that resonates throughout the album is straightforward yet compelling. This is an album that will be celebrated for a long time to come.
