Great gift for a boy.
Great little toolkit!
This toolkit is a great addition to any kid who love to "fix" things. My son who is 3 has not put this toy away since we've received it in the mail. The box that holds the tools is very sturdy and very simple to open and close for my 3 year old. Inside the toolbox is a little tray that holds the tools and once you take the tools out, you can flip the tray over so it becomes a table saw (Very cool! My son loves this feature!). It comes with a plastic screwdriver, hammer, nails, and wood. There's a few little Mega Bloks inside the kit too, my son loves building "walls" with them but the purpose of them is for the top of the toolkit where the kids can use it like a work space. Overall, this is a really great toy that I can see my son playing with for a very long time, it seems it will hold up too! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Fun toy for busy ones
I received this from Mattel Play Rate and Review. My son loves everything construction or tool related. He was very excited from the first moment we pulled it from the box. The packaging was cute, but very difficult to open. I had to have my husband open it, and he had a tough time too. The belt is very easy to put together and all the pieces go in easily. I like that it keeps them engaged. The wallow talkie had them signing and answering the questions within minutes. I also like that it makes him problem solve to put all the tools back in the belt. The two issues we encountered were the latch on the buckle isn't very tall and doesn't secure the belt very well. It has a tendency to fall off often. He has a hard time with it, so he's constantly needing help to re-buckle it. The only other thing we thought would make this set better is an interchangeable handle for the different tool heads. Overall a very good toy. He enjoys it and has played with it non stop since receiving it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Great tool belt
I picked this tool belt for my 3 year old daughter because she loves having her own set of tools just like daddy. I love how each tool has its own place on the tool belt (except the level/ruler tool) which makes keeping all the pieces from getting lost a lot easier. The interchangeable handle idea is cool because it's just like the real tools we have, although it does slightly annoy my daughter that she can't use every tool at once (not that she really needs to). Another thing that is really cute is listening to my daughter interact with the walkie talkie and answering the questions that "Bob" asks. Overall this toy is a hit in our house. Fun little tool box
My grandson recognized it as Bob the Builder right away. He immediately dove into the tools and started building with his sister using the lid as a base for the mega blocks. He loves the little table saw. He carries his toolbox with him wherever he goes. My granddaughter plays with it too. They watch Bob the Builder all the time and play with the box every day. Perfect for a 4 year old boy.
Fun and easy to use
I received the bob the builder build and saw toolbox for free for my review. I have to say that my 3 year old son loves it! The parts are large enough that I don't have to worry about him putting them in his mouth and choking, and the hammering and screwdriver help with his hand eye cordination and he plays with his tool box when daddy is using his. I have to say that I was a little confused by the fact that here were no instructions but he seemed to pick it right up and start playing with it. Even if your child isn't really into bob the builder I still think that this is a great toy!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Only two handles?
My child just opened up his Christmas present... This tool belt is a great idea, but why only 2 interchangeable handles for all the tools? The problem is the tools that don't have the handles attached fall right out of the tool belt while playing. Wish each had their own handle!
