After the death of her mother, Milena has to start a new life in the Glass City with the father and sister she has not seen since she was five.
On her first day at her new school, Milena meets the arrogant and moody Fred. He is the heir to the Glass City. Whilst they continuously argue with one another, Milena discovers that she has special abilities, that she never had before, along with a darkness which comes from deep within her. Upon this discovery, Fred offers to help train her and their relationship changes. He promises to always help her, no matter what.
Where have these abilities come from? How did she get them?
Along with her training, Milena realises that she is being watched. Who is this person? What do they want? Is she in danger?
With the arrival of her best friend, Phill, a strain is put on her relationship with Fred. But when Phill is kidnapped, Milena only has one person she can turn to for help. Fred.
