It works, just follow directions

I just moved in to a house with a pool. I can't afford a pool service person so meet the newest addition to DIY - Swimming Pool version. When I first tested for cyanuric acid (aka CYA), mine was higher than my test kit has a number for. The local pool supply place tested my water for me and told me my CYA level was at 123 ppm and should be below 50 ppm. They also told me the only way to lower it is to drain half my pool and fill it with fresh water. Well where I live water is ridiculously expensive. So, I thought to myself "hogwash," went home and began Google-ing. That's where I stumbled across this product, Bio-Active. If you are in a similar situation, you're in the right place. This stuff is expensive, but worth a try in my opinion because the only alternative is prob hundreds of dollars worth of water. I added the enzyme to my pool yesterday and followed all directions to a tee. My pool is 13,000 gal and all my water chemistry numbers are within range, except my chlorine is low - but that's because my cyanuric acid is so high that I'm experiencing chlorine lock. My water temp was also in the range specified in the instructions. I added 1 pack of this stuff, it was 8 oz. worth. It's been 24 hours and I tested my CYA levels and they have already lowered. They are still higher than my test kit has a number for, but they are much closer to being within the maximum than they were yesterday. If I had to guess, I'd say they've lowered by about 10 to 20 ppm. I'm sorry I can't give you exact readings. The packet says 8 oz. will treat pools upto 25,000 gal for CYA levels under 150. This stuff is working, and I am so relieved that I don't have to pay for 7,000 gallons of water this month.
