Great for everything
I hadn't used Bisquick in years but decided to order some shipped in my order of other items. I'm so glad I did. I've been using it for everything and it's great. Makes wonderful drop cheese/sausage biscuits. I happen to still have my little Bisquick cook book so I made brownies one day and they were wonderful also.

Seriously?
The Bisquick wasn't in a it's yellow box when it arrived! It looked more like a bag of cocaine than a box of baking mix. It was obvious it was done knowingly since it was carefully placed in a second bag with a zip-tie. Not feeling the love here.

Always a trusted brand and product

Great product and very convenient 96 oz size/ Makes perfect biscuits as well as Dumplings. Box will stand on shelf or lay on side in refrigerator which is recommended to maintain freshness/ I transfer to an empty one gallon ice cream or frozen yogurt pail/ Saving the recipes after cutting from box with cookbooks

product hit shelves in 1931

even tho it's true that you can mix up a blend like bisquick, some like the convenience of just measuring or pouring out 1 dry item. homemade biscuits can be made easily with self-rising flour, salt, small shot of vinegar & warmed milk or warmed canned milk. but bisquick keeps better on the shelf then any flour. it has been a staple item in the home, since I was born & Mom used it for everything, coffee cakes, coating for veggies & meats, makes ok dumplings, when items for dumplings was unavailable(like butter to work into a crumbled product into AP flour & salt, before adding liquid)- pie crust ect. so I guess you can say I purchase this due to the convenience in my older age & memories of days gone by. I plan on mixing some of this with a buttermilk blend & powdered milk, so all I have to do is add water. some say you can use just water to bisquick straight up - but the results are somewhat bland, passable, but not as great. mixing this with the items as I stated makes a great - good2go - survival item - emergency food item or just when you're in hurry. glad I found this in bulk, way better cost & shipping was fast & care taken in all items in order - thanks, will be back soon for more, family gift giving, nothing says more then Love then giving food : )

1. It's just a matter of adding milk, making a dough. Then, turning it out on a floured surface, knead about 10 times, roll it out, cut, bake. They taste good.
by MeInKentucky
2. Has great recipes on the side/ I make drop biscuits or great as Dumplings/ even in a slow cooker/
by SirTaz
3. The recipe says just use water. To make great drop biscuits I first cut in some butter till it was spread through the mix then added enough water so that it mixed and made a dough that would spoon up to be put on the greased cookie sheet. You can also add shredded cheese and/or broken up sausage patty. When the biscuits are done I pour a little melted butter on top of them and put back in the oven for just a minute or two.
by Jan75
4. I just add a little water or milk

5. The biscuit recipe is on every box of Bisquick.

1. I'm not familiar with the term 'soup', but, I use it to make chicken and dumplings. Tastes great. May be that I just use less chicken broth/liquids than you might. But, dumplings come out nice and fluffy on the inside.
by MeInKentucky
2. yes, skim off the top of your stock with a spoon & pour over you bisquick that is in your mixing bowl, then stir up your stock & spoon out the liquid mix & add that to your bisquick mix too - keep adding your stock til you have a thick elastic texture, then simmer your chicken soup & small spoon in bits of your bisquick dough, do not cover, after about 5 mins. check the downside of you dumplings if they looked cooked, the tops should have a somewhat dried bubbled texture, flip them over, you can stir your soup between the dumplings - moving the bottom end of spoon-try not to disturb the top where your dumplings are. -that's about as good as I can explain it, I do better by showing the actual effect. hope this helps. & happy cooking.

3. Yes .. you can see the recipe in Internet für Bisquick melas.

4. Yes, I do it all the time. I use a little less milk in the mix and drop on top of chicken soup, about one large Tbs. at a time, and cook 10 minutes covered and 10 minutes uncovered.

3. Eggs or Egg Substitute can be used in recipes. Can see details in Internet for Bisquick recipes.
by Barbara8758
4. I don't see any egg products in the box mix. I cannot say if the mix is exposed to eggs during processing. It doesn't seem likely, but if you are unsure, I would suggest contacting the company through email. I'm sure they have customer service that handles those types of questions.
