Great product
Before Celiac came to our home I used Bisquick a lot and I've missed it. I was somewhat skeptical when I heard about this product, but every recipe I have tried has been a hit! Best pancakes ever and lemon squares that melt in your mouth. The boxes are small and have only 2 1/2 cups per box. But I think that's like anything else...you always want more of the good stuff! Thank you Betty Crocker.

just ok
Just ok, purchased to make biscuits. biscuits came out like bread and taste like rice, I was expecting a better flour blend than just rice flour especially for the price. There are much much better pre-mixes out there and cheaper. Biscuits were the last item I was looking for so back to trying from scratch recipes again.

Best thing since "good" gluten free sliced bread!

Anyone going gluten free knows it's difficult to find a gluten free product that doesn't taste "gluten free" Well this is it. I can make biscuits, dumplings, pancakes, breaded chicken, fish etc and they are actually very good!!! I love this! fyi the "good" gluten free sliced bread is Udi's!!! Nothing compares!

Yummo

I rarely give items 5 stars, but this was pretty easy to follow. I used the chicken strip recipe to make baked/breaded fish that was really good. I also made pancakes, replacing 2 tbsp of oil w/ 2 tbsp flaxseed meal, and using 1 tbsp of olive oil. I also added blueberries. I also folded in an egg white at the last minute before cooking to ensure fluffiness. My roommate said they were the best pancakes she ever had! Success...

A very tasty product

I made pancakes and they were very good. Even my husband liked them. The only problem is the cost. Like all gluten free products the Bisquick is costly. The pancake recipe really makes to much for one person. It calls for 1 egg so it is kind of hard to half the recipe. I was going to try freezing my leftover but my husband ate it.

Great price for a gluten product.

I just received this bisquick over a week ago and I have used most of it already. I made pancakes and should have followed my instincts and put less fluid in the batter as it was a little too thin for my taste. Still the pancakes were great tasting. I, also, made a pizza tonight. It was alright if you like a dough that has cake texture. I would use another recipe instead of the one on the bisquick box. I like the yeast dough better, but all in all this is a wonderful product. Like any gluten free flours, you just need to keep working at instilling your own recipes. I am still very thankful for the gluten free bisquick and will continue using it. It has a good many possibilities.

1. No Wheat -- that is why it is Gluten Free.
by CoastalBelle
2. No
by CeliacWolflingMom
3. actually Gluten free DOES NOT MEAN WHEAT FREE!! this product however according to the betty crocker website contains : "Rice Flour, Sugar, Leavening (baking soda, sodium aluminum phosphate, monocalcium phosphate), Modified Potato Starch, Salt, Xanthan Gum. " website: http://www.bettycrocker.com/Products/Bisquick/Bisquick%20Gluten%20Free
by ScarletWitch
4. Not safe. This product contains xanthan gum, which should not be consumed by a person with a wheat allergy. Xanthan gum is grown on various substances (e.g.- the black stuff that grows on cauliflower), including WHEAT! It might be safe...or, it might be an allergen.

1. There is no lactose in this product.
by CoastalBelle
2. This has no milk... you add it (almond, rice, cow, coconut - your choice) It does state that it May contain soy. But no dairy :)
by Starkasm
3. Bisquick gluten free mix has no milk in it, but you can add milk when you mix it up. If you are lactose intolerant simply mix the pancake mix with water instead. Problem solved. I love my Bisquick Gluten free pancake mix. I am only allergic to wheat. You could also use soy milk, lactaid, almond milk, coconut milk, etc.

1. You can make anything with this gluten free bisquick that you would usually do with wheat bisquick, and it tastes just as good.
by CoastalBelle
2. It does have leavening in it. Baking soda so I'm not so sure it would work trying to make a pie crust...
by Starkasm
3. I wouldnt recommend it but maybe you are a better cook/baker than I am. It just does not have the smooth flakiness that a pie crust needs to be good. You could try I suppose? I think this was meant more for the quik breads ect. I think a crust would be tough (when done) and crumble during the set up phase. Just thoughts. Thanks good luck!
