I will admit I was hesitant to purchase this table after reading the numerous reviews about how difficult it was to assemble as well as how cheap the "wood" is. However, my experience was the exact opposite of those reviews. It took me about an hour to assemble this table. I didn't find the instructions lacking in any way. While some people suggested buying longer screws, please know that this is not at all necessary. Some of the screws provided did take a bit of work to catch onto the metal frame, but they do. You just have to screw them in with a decent amount of force, but it was by no means discouraging me from completing the assembly. I also read reviews about the printed wood pattern coming off when you remove the part labels. I took the labels off with no problem. And just out of curiosity, I went so far as to run over the bottom of the table with my fingernails to see if it really was that delicate and I can assure you it is not. If you have purchased a basic coffee table from IKEA, this is the exact same deal - MDF with a simulated wood pattern printed on it. It is durable, sturdy, and way more expensive than it looks.
