Most of our torches come with the option of buying the torch alone or as a kit which will include a cylinder and sometimes other supplies.

Hi there,

you can store the torch and cylinder in your home if you wish to, however like any device that runs off of fuel there are risks involved. For example, if the cylinder begins to leak, propane is a heavy fuel so it will leack to the lowest point in which case could start a fire. We reccomend that you store it in your garage or shed however it is your personal prefference. I hope this answers your question.

If kept separate (torch detached from bottle) in a cool, dry storage area and treated the same way you would a box of household matches, then storing in the house should not pose a problem.

Never, ever store propane near a high temperature source. NO! do not store it close to the fireplace. Also it is good practice to unscrew the torch before you store the unit. Check for a gas leak at the top of the canister by sniffing the top of the canister. Canister leaks are very rare events but it is better to be safe than sorry.

I originally ordered this from Amazon, but just the torch head alone, without a tank, was almost $60! Same name brand, Bernzomatic, here on Walmart was only $18 for the torch and tank!

Fantastic price for name brand!

I really don't understand all the bad reviews..... I almost spent a lot more money because I was so worried this torch wasn't going to work. Let me tell you.... This torch is absolutely worth the money! Such a bargain! We bought it for our 12 year old son to use for his project.... He made a wood burned American flag..... And we didn't even have to purchase extra propane! We are done with the wood burning part and will be adding the stars and sealant next weekend. READ and FOLLOW the directions!

I've purchased multiple of these, the past two times they've come broken. The ignition would work but it would not light. A waste of time and I was thankfully refunded but now I have two full canisters sitting uselessly since I was told not to return it to store.

Not the best

Only worked for a few minutes. After the third time lighting it,it quit and won't even light with a lighter or match. And it leaks. WASTE of $$ and time

I ordered a propane torch with a cylinder. When I received it, the box had been opened and taped shut. Inside the box was only the cylinder. I only ordered this for the torch. I have 10 propane cylinders at my house. Thanks for checking the returned item before sending it to me!

One more instance of this tomfoolery and I'm done with Walmart. There are too many other options to put up with this crap.

I purchased this through pickup for the convenience. The box came all taped up, and they gave me a return.

Damaged

What a nightmare. I'm in the middle of a $1000 epoxy job that requires this torch AND IT DIDN'T WORK. Wouldn't stay lit and then couldn't turn it off. All the gas was escaping. Again, nightmare.

WON'T buy again

If I had wanted a refill canister I would have picked that option and paid a third of the money, not surprised to find my order messed up tho. The torch kit was only a single canisters with no physical torch, no instruction manual either so whoever took it at the store must have that too. Legit 2 orders in with Walmart   and two orders messed up, will likely cancel and not renew when subscription is over, absolute joke.

Torch not even in box are you kidding me?

I get the item delivered, open the bag, and the box inside is already opened. The gas cylinder has scratches and dents all over it. This is not new, 100% was used. Dont buy unless you dont care about if its new or if don't care if there isn't a full tank of gas.
