I have used these pliers everyday at work, not fishing sorry, they are the best tool I have found yet for our needs. We were very disappointed when our local supplier stopped carrying them. I was able to locate you online to resupply. I work at our local cable operator, and the application uses of these pliers are better than what is issued to us. I am currently trying to get my company to carry them nationwide. Thank You again.

I put a pair on each of my 20 fish locators for I've fishing.
Great
Very nice
Won't fish without them in my tackle box in future
Went on a 7 day canadian fishing trip recently catching northern pike, walleye, and lake trout. Realized I forgot my usual long set of needle nose pliers for removing hooks deep in large toothy fish. A friend let me borrow a pair of these forceps to use for the week. These coupled with jaw spreaders for northern pike made unhooking fish hooked deep in their mouth extremely safe and easy. Both my son (14) and me were able to safely remove hooks from all sizes of fish up to northern pike 45" without getting cut or bitten. These enabled us to release fish in a much better state than on any trip we've taken in the past because they make getting into the fishes mouth easy due to the small form of the pliers. We were even able to easily remove hooks that got down into the gill plate from behind the gills easily and barely touching the fishes gill plates. The nice surprise was that using these meant we lost almost no fish from damage to gills from deep hooked lures. IN past years, using regular needle nose pliers to remove hooks caused much more damage to the fish. These were extremely strong and durable for gripping and holding hooks when removing them. I would strongly recommend these to any fisherman that needs to remove hooks from a fishes mouth. As soon as we returned from the trip. I bought a pair to add to my son and my tackle box and we'll never fish without them again. There are few tools or gadgets I can say this about and I have almost never written a review of a product no matter how good or bad but after using these pliers on this trip. I felt I had to let other anglers know just how good and useful they are. I highly recommend these for any fisherman, fresh or saltwater, that needs to remove hooks from fish to release them. The survival rate alone of the fish saved will make you smile and be worth it in addition to not having to deal with cuts or scrapes from sharp teeth. Berkley - Great Product!!!!! I only wish I'd found and tried these 20 years ago as I would have save more on bandaids and neosporin than I spent on the pliers and there would be more and bigger fish alive and swimming today. Note that when you first start using these, it takes a little bit to get used to unhooking the teeth that hold them together once gripped on something (teeth near the finger holes). Also forgot to mention that the coating on them is great because it allows your fingers not to slip inside the tool when you are covered in fish slime on your hands. Only one suggestion I would make to Berkley is make the finger holes just a bit larger. As an average 6' tall 200lb fisherman who has normal size fingers, the finger holes were just a bit tight, especially later in the day after unhooking tons of fish when fingers start to get sore and swell up a bit when fishing. However, I still wouldn't go fishing now without a pair handy in the tackle box.
