I really enjoyed this book. It seems some people don't expect a "coffee table book" to be read cover to cover. I savor books such as this. This book is packed with information about the making of the blockbuster BBC series. I particularly enjoyed learning about the warehouse where vintage clothing is found. What treasures! I'd love to visit there and at Highclere Castle someday.

The third in the Downton Abbey books released by PBS. This one features quite a bit of information about Highclere Castle, the setting for Downton Abbey. And again, there is much behind-the-scenes information about the cast and the props used in the show. It's very interesting to read about what is involved in making it all come together.

Good look behind the scenes at what it takes (level of detail, # of people's inputs, etc.) to recreate a great fictional world for television.
Terrific behind-the-scenes photos, interviews, and essays.

This is a colorful scrapbook of season four of Downton Abbey, with info about everything involved in the production of the popular series. What the book is lacking is cutlines for many of the photos. That's mostly not a big problem but when the photos are group shots of cast members out of costume, the lack was obvious. I bought the book in a moment of weakness and wish I would have checked it out from the library instead. It's interesting enough, but not worth the money.
