  • A. Did you try pressing the button on the forehead of the horse before having Barbie do her hand commands?

  • A. Have to hold down hair on forehead of horse until legs move. Make sure the plastic strip has been removed from back of Barbie. Even open battery compartment in Barbie and make sure a part of the plastic strip did not get left inside between battery and connection. Maybe this will help.

  • A. Did you see that you have to pull out the battery pack and add a total of 4 batteries? Also, it took a few tries of holding down the horses' "bangs" before it started walking.

  • A. Hold on to the button on the horse. Wait a few seconds until it starts moving. Make sure Barbie's arms are down as not to confuse her commands with the horse, at least until the horse starts moving. Make sure batteries are in correctly and triple A.

  • A. On my daughters horse we have to hold down the mane on the head for about 10 seconds or so. Just until it takes a step then we raise the barbies arm slowly to get it to respond to the horse. If that doesn't work then it probably has something wrong with it and I would take it back.

I bought this as a Christmas gift, my five and six year old girls they love it.. My only thing with this is , the video of the maker of this ( if you watch it she just taps the mane and it works magically) We thought we had a defective one because we tapped it and it did nothing, we raised barbies arm up and down -nothing, I rechecked the batteries in the horse(by the way- you have to put 4 AAA in the horse , Barbie comes with 3 small round batteries already installed in her) - the battery compartment in the horse comes out and theres room for 4) I looked up troubleshooting, hoping we were doing something wrong for it not to work (cause my girls and I were feeling disappointed that we'd have to bring it back to the store to replace it) BUT.. NOTE. we found out you have to press and hold down the mane button portion on the horses head for atleast 10 seconds and IT Started Working properly YAY.. we were all happy and they played with it for the rest of the night so far. So the Horse does walk and responds to Barbie as it says it does its really a cool toy.

In order for this horse to work, you must push the horse's mane for approximately 10 seconds. Reading some of the reviews, it looks like many people have given up trying to make this horse work. There are no instructions and the short instruction video made by the creator of the toy says to just push the button on the horse's mane and it will turn on. This is not the case. We thought it was the batteries at first, but they were new batteries. I am glad I read some of the other reviews on this website and figured out it was a simple fix. Great toy! My daughter is playing with it right now.

Very impressed, this toy works as advertised.Work's on my carpet and thick area rug. For the money compared to other Barbie toys highly recommend. Bought for my 6 year old granddaughter. Please note that the Barbie takes an odd batteries, not expensive just not one I would have in my home. If you have a problem with the horse working remember it works interactive with the Barbie.

Pink horses that gallop around with Barbie is a pretty pink riding outfit. What is not to like for a 6 year old girl who loves pink, Barbie and horses!! This toy provided lots of enjoyment for my daughter and appears to be a good value.

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas she was so excited to play with it. Unfortunately, it did not even turn on once batteries were put in. I told her we would have to return it and she said to the North Pole :) She still wants to play with it until we bring it back so I think it would be a great toy if it actually worked.

Almost like a real horse, you have your Barbie guide the horse. My 6 year old loves it. Also has a stand on the horses saddle to hold the Barbie in place.

First, the box that the barbie and horse comes in is really cute-perfectly pink and the detail makes it an eye catcher. Pros: My daughter loves the horse and how she can control what it does with just the raise of the doll's arm. The horse and doll was able to be incorporated into other fantasy plays and she can put on a great show Cons: There was no off switch, which would be really nice, but it does turn off if it's not played with. The batteries in the doll, I did notice did have a really small compartment, so it would definitely be a hassle to change. Improvements: The horse didn't back up, so we had to keep on chasing it down. A larger battery compartment on the doll is a must. The last thing is that if the horse whinnied (that would definitely add the wow factor). A total winner!
