I purchased this for my Boss's daughter. My boss is running for re-elecetion to office this year, and we are doing quite a few zoom meetings at night. This set helped her daughter understand "what mommy's doing" and how her campaign team is helping her. She is over the moon with these Barbies, Yesterday she was role playing that "Mommy's running for President" and had the fundraiser doll asking her stuffed animals for campaign contributions. The only thing is, as someone who's run campaigns my entire adult life, Ive never had a team that looked that good! I think a 6 pack of Diet Coke and a pizza box would be authentic accessories :)
My five year old is a big Barbie fan and I love that Barbie really can do anything. This set proves it! I especially loved how all four barbies were different in this set - tall, curvy, petite as well as Caucasian, Asian, Black, and Latina. The information given about each doll's role in a campaign was nice, too - my daughter and I sat down and discussed what it meant to run for office and how you need people supporting you to do so! The four dolls are a fun way to discuss what it takes to run for office. We had interesting conversations. This was not the purpose. Also discussed why the different dolls were in different clothes.

My child absolutely loves playing with these Barbies! They each are unique and different just like real people. The diversity is amazing!! Good job Mattel!!!
I have been wanting to get my daughter dolls that are more racially diverse, so I love that this set contains 4 different looking barbies. I also love that the actual Barbie doll is more realistically proportioned. They are all beautiful. Plus, how neat to show her that Barbie can once again be anything. I love seeing Barbie in different roles and careers. She doesn't necessarily make the assigned one president, and she doesn't quite understand all the careers listed, but that's fine. I like the set and that they included a variety of dolls and not all the standard blonde. The AA doll is my favorite. The clothing on the blonde is not a very good look and has little style.
The central doll (President Afro American) has hair a bit different from the picture. Actual dolls hair is more afro frizzy and less defined. I'm ok with that though her stylishly conservative suit is slightly contradicting the hair. I wouldn't have minded a short Afro on her in fitting with the Conservative attire. Her hair out of the box is slightly Beyonce. But , there's a lot of it and I think I'll put it in a chic bun.
More distinctive racial identities. The black doll color is so off and so contrasting against the others. Shade and tone are everything. Then she is wearing pink lipstick. Not very complementary for her dark skin. You should have an Asian. Can Barbie not always be blonde. The idea is good the product not so much.
