I love parts and hated others
Love love the canner rack!! The jars don't move around in the water bather. I also used it on my counter top for when I am filling my jars before they go into the bath! Gray utensil have a very nice coating on them better than any of the green color I have bought. HATE THE JAR LIFTER! The handle broke into 2 pieces while I was lifting out of the water!!! That was almost bad thankful I had my rubber gloves on the catch the jar!

Discusting canning rack and deffected lifter
Rubber canning rack produces some scum like substance in the boiling water while sterilizing glass jars and processing the jam/jelly. It discolored after the first use. As a previous reviewer experienced, my lifter's handles already was not in the place right and broke into the hot water after sterilizing the jars. Jars were intact but the lids show some rust.

    Excellent starter kit!
    Great kit that has everything you need to can for the first and it is shipped in a very sturdy box so you don't have to worry about anything breaking.

    Good value for price
    It was great to get all the canning tools in one place , and I feel the price is quite reasonable. The included pectin 4 jars was great. Just enough for a small batch of jam. The mat that's included is a great idea, and lets you use any deep pot to process, so there's no need to invest in an expensive water-bath pot until you find out if you're going to keep canning or jam making.
