    Buy the CAPS!
I don't think they're selling them online yet but in the store, they also sell these lids which they refer to as 'caps'. There are two caps in each box and the box says 'Ball, Stay-Open Lid Design, Herb Shaker Caps'. The caps are extremely cool!!! The caps fit on REGULAR MOUTH mason jars....(and be sure to read because they may sell wide mouth caps too but I have not seen any if they do). These little jars are cute and the holes are rather large because it is for the thicker leafy type spices. There is no scoop hole but they unscrew easily so really no need for a scoop section. In my image you will also see the box that contains two caps and also a regular size blue mason jar with one of the caps on it. The caps are so nice since they fit the regular mouth jars...which is great for large amounts of herbs and spices......not to mention other stuff you might want to put in there to shake out.....powdered creamer, etc.

    Spice jars

We live in a small apartment with minimum counter space so I bought these jars to go inside a drawer to store my spices and they are awesome ... I buy bulk spices and store smaller quantities in my jars for accessibility...

    Good product and fair pricing.

If you grow your own herbs or buy in large quantities. These are great.

    Go Green!

The price was great and I am able to convert all my little plastic Mc jars of spices over to a more green choice. The shaker tops work well and the jars fit nicely in my spice cabinet. The good thing is, I can also put the shaker lids on my other regular mouth ball jars for things like Salt, chopped dry onions and Steak seasoning. I ordered 8 x 4ct jars and will be ordering more in the near future. These also would be great for craft projects like beading and glitters. The uses are endless.

    Great product!

It is interesting that Ball came out with this "Ball Culinary Dry Herb Jars, 4 ct." The PERFECT way to store your summer basil, Rosemary, thyme, parsley, etc. by drying them and storing them in this wonderful jar. I made my son an assortment of spice blends for his use as the "Grillmeister" and he loved them! Great product! Highly recommended!

    Great for Spices

I bought these jars to store my spices so I could keep them organized. They are the perfect size to fit in a drawer as I like keeping my counter tops clear. Oval labels come with the jars and the lids have a snap on lid opening to pour the spices.

    Nice jars

These are great for dried herbs. They have a shaker top. I wish they were just a little bigger since I have an herb garden and I store the dried leaves whole but most people would find them large enough.

    Not Exactly What I Expected

Not exactly what I expected, but it was good. The shaker holes were quite large, I was hoping for smaller holes. But they hold a good amount and stack nicely.

Nice size, don't use for regular spices

I bought a few sets of these in order to arrange all my dried spices. The powders tend to shake abundantly but leave residue in a well in the lid. I know these aren't designed for regular dried spices, but I still like that I was able to organize my spices in glass jars. I would recommend them for people looking to dry fresh herbs and spices in them.

    1. Hi. The holes are much larger than regular spice jar holes. These are shakers so they will shake out larger types of herb flakes and shreds, easily. If you place any type of powder spice in them, it will pour out like a rain storm. These are best used for such as herbs as it states. However, there are many other items that would be great with these such as seeds, small nuts and small candies. Think of an m&m candy...the holes are just a tad smaller than an m&m and there are 4 shaker holes.

    2. Yes. The jars holes are large and if you need to use your measuring spoons the tops comes off easily to put your tablespoon in ... I love them...

    3. The shaker holes are only large enough for powdered herbs, however the lids are easy to remove if you need to use a measuring spoon or take out leafy herbs.

    4. Yes the holes are large enough for leafy herbs and dried chopped onions and steak seasonings. Each jar comes with it's own lid and a blank label for marking the contents. Hope this helps

    6. Each jar lid measures 2 and 7/8 " across the top. (Side to side)

    7. There are (4) four about 1/4 inch wide round holes in the pour or shake lid. Plenty of room for leafy herbs to fit through! I dry mine overnight in the lowest possible setting in the oven on a sheet of aluminum foil, then I crumble them when dried. Works great for me!! Also, the jars can be reused as canning jars, (WITH CANNING LID AND BAND SOLD SEPARATELY) lOVE IT!

    8. Definitely large enough for chopped leafs. There are 4 holes under the green flip up lid to shake/pour. I can fit a #2 pencil in each of the 4 holes.
