    This Popper Rocks!!!
I have had this product for over a year & use it almost everyday (if not everyday). It makes wonderful popcorn! I do not like microwave popcorn after I bought this popper. The butter may be slow to melt in the butter well. I put butter in the microwave for a few seconds. That works just fine. I would not hestitate to buy another Stir Crazy Popcorn Popper, I recommend it to everyone.

    Not Safe
We loved this the first time we bought it but then after only a few uses even though we followed all directions thoroughly the bowl has cracks in it and butter leaks from the bottom lid. If you don't flip it fast enough it burns the top layer of popcorn fast. Plus, when you take the base of the bowl you can easily burn yourself from the hot oil still boiling on the base even after unplugging it. I got a 1st degree burn on my finger just lifting the base off. I rarely give bad reviews for a product but because this is a safety issue more than anything, I thought I should for warn other consumers. I definitely would not recommend people allowing their little ones to use it. Hope this helps!

    Awesome Popcorn Popper!

I really love this popcorn popper. It pops every last kernel. I've been using it consistently for about a year. I've been told I make the best popcorn. I use extra light olive oil and sea salt and it's the best popcorn ever. To me, using the olive oil eliminates the need for butter and is much healthier. Recently, it fell off the counter and cracked, so I'm replacing it with another one.

    Best Popcorn Popper Ever

My family has used the stir crazy popcorn popper for 20 years. Mine is about 15 years old, and the heating coil finally died today, after daily use for the past year, and occasional use for the previous 14 years. The popcorn pops almost completely, at least with premium popcorn. Lesser quality popcorn may not pop fully, however this popper will pop the maximum number of kernels possible. The popper will take about 1/2 cup of unpopped kernels, and pop the top right off the popper. Turn the bowl over, and you can eat the tasty snack from there, although I always use a separate bowl so I can wash the popper. You will need to use a small amount of oil with this, however the stir rods will keep the kernels from burning. The only popper that makes better corn is the kind you find in the movie theaters.

    AWESOME PRODUCT

My daughter loves this popcorn popper. My mother always fixed her popcorn in one of these and my daughter had to have one like mamaws. This is the closest thing to movie popcorn that you can get.

    Very Nice Product

I order this popper after our really old air-pop popper finally bit the dust. My husband really likes popcorn made in a pan on the stove top, so this was a good comprimise on the health factor and ease of using. It only take a small amount of oil. I am very pleased with it and the older kids enjoy making it themselves as well. The bowl/top of popper is a flexible plastic so I don't know how well that is going to hold up over time with use. I would think a hard sturdy plastic bowl would be a bit better, we will see.

    Love This!

We finally decided which popcorn popper to get and are so happy with our choice. This popper is easy, fun and functional with the minor exception of the butter melting option on the lid. I won't be using that again! What a mess that was! But the popcorn is great and hardly an unpopped kernal left either... a very good purchase and highly recommended.

    stircrazy popcorn popper

This is the greatest thing since sliced bread for popcorn lovers. the stirring action causes uniform popping and for some reason makes the popcorn taste just like movie popcorn. The last one I had lasted for about 6 years. It seems a little over priced for what it is, but Walmart had the best price I could find anywhere. If you love popcorn, this is the only way to go!

    Best Popcorn Popper I've owned

I love fresh popped popcorn. I had one that worked but I couldn't add butter so I decided to splurge for this. My only disappointments have been that it takes some practice to add the perfect amount of popcorn kernels for popping and that some gourmet popcorn can be a little tricky. My first batch was gourmet popcorn and the kernels were smaller than regular kernels so they got stuck in the metal arms and the popcorn simply wouldn't pop. However, when I added much less popcorn for my second try, things went smoothly. I love how nearly ever kernel pops and pops evenly. This is a great product for every true popcorn lover.

    Hope it keeps working?

After getting this home....the next day I washed it up and made popcorn. While working, the metal stir bar fell off. When I had washed it up, I replaced the bar and screwed it down tightly. It's like when it was turning and turning....it was unscrewing itself. I had to stop the popper and try and screw it back on when it was hot. Made the popcorn ok, but did notice that there were some burnt ones on the bottom, because once it all starts popping, you can't see the bottom anymore and I let it go until I could hear the popping had stopped.

    1. This popper makes up to 6 to 8 quarts of popcorn. You'd have to measure what you have as you can make up to 1 cup to 1 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels in this.
