I purchased this for my grandparents so they can burn cardboard, sticks, and raw food packaging waste. If my memory serves me correctly, the bolts are 1/4” in diameter and I think I either used a 5/16” or 3/8” carbide drill bit. Word of advice when drilling into curved metal surfaces, mark your center with a scribe or permanent marker, then indent the metal with a punch or your screwdriver to keep your bit from walking. Use a square to center your door and legs, it makes for a Level presentation. Hardware is a bit cheap but it does come with serrated flange nuts, makes it easy because all you need to do hand tighten the nuts and screw with your driver or impact. I used a barrel that has a removable lid with a locking collar which made for easy access to the screws for the legs. Once I centered up the door and traced the outline I used cut off wheel with a side grinder to cut out the hole in the lid; tightened the door assembly and ground the edges of the lid with a grinding disc. For the damper I installed last, using jigsaw and a pilot hole I cut the opening I traced. Much cleaner of a cut vs, the cut off wheel. Price went up over $10 two days after I ordered.

Best Price Anywhere
Walmart has the best price (delivered) for this item anywhere in the USA. Barrel stoves can produce a LOT of heat from fuel that is virtually free (scrap wood, waste paper).
Easy to put together, works great,
Well made. Heavy. Great quality. Haven't put it on barrel yet but I can tell that it is going to work great.
Great quality product. Easy to assemble. Cutting wheel on a hand grinder works the best for cutting the holes unless you have a plasma cutter or cutting torches.
looks nice but does it really work cause we are really looking for a wood stove and put it in
Ease of installation. The door leaks slightly and the bolts could be of better quality, but I'm mostly happy with the kit.
Door does not fit tight against frame. There is about a 1/8 in gap where the door opens but fits tight back by the hinges. No handle other than metal to open and close door. Feet are way to low to the floor.
