A Great Little Cordless Drill

I have been doing woodworking for over 60 years. I remember the days when drilling was done by hand tools. In later years you had to unroll your extension cords to drill a hole. Then came the battery drills. These were 9 volts or less, with little power and needed recharging in a short time. Now Black and Decker has a 20 Volt Max Cordless Drill that has a Lithium battery back that has all the power you would ever want. The torque is as good or better than most electric drills. The battery will last many hours of usages and doesn't get weaker as you use it. The size is great as well it is not big and bulky like others I have had.     20v LI-Ion B&D Drill/Driver,1 Battery,1charger

    It was time to either replace my 18v Ni-Cads or .... I chose this as my option. Good Choice. Plenty of torque with the variable speed driver, & over 1 hour of use for the battery (according to the manufacturer). I'll never use 22 clutch settings. Regretfully I've only used it for some drywall ceiling repair so I can't rate the battery yet. The charger is the s-l-o-w charger (4h usually) so I plug in after each use until the light stops blinking. B&D states it won't overcharge but I still unplug upon completion (old habit). For $40 this is a Good Value.

    Nice Tool!

    I got the BLACK+DECKER™ LD120CWM 20V Lithium Cordless Drill/Driver. This Drill/Driver has 20V of power that can hold a charge for up to 18 months! It uses a lithium battery and weighs about 3.75 pounds. After being assembled, the dimensions of the assembled product is: 8.5” L x 3.75” W x 7” H. One of my biggest problems with Drills/Drivers is the weight. When the tool is too heavy, you don't have full control because it is just too heavy for you to lift and hold, causing you to either not be able to drill into the material or you drill in at an angle. From several different brands and models of drills I have tried, this is one of the lighter ones. At this amount of weight, it really helps me control the drill much better. I also love the co...

    Works great for me

    This Black and Decker drill is working just fine for me. I am a 65 year old female. I have used it for screwing 3 inch nails and it worked just fine. I also have drill bits which I used on a door for hardware. I have drilled holes with it. I have not had a problem. I plugged in the charger when I first received it to fully charge the battery before I used it. Now, since I am not a carpenter, I don't use this until the battery is dead. Instructions do state to place battery on charger after each use. When I do this, hardly any time passes before it is fully charged. The charger and the battery pack can be left connected with the green LED light glowing indefinitely. The drill is so light weight compared to another one I had a few years back....

    Very nice Drill!

    I'm very impressed with this Black & Decker drill. The set includes, the 20 volt max drill/driver, 20-volt max lithium ion battery, charger & double ended bit tip. I was concerned about it stripping screws or causing damage but this drill has 11 position clutch which helps prevent both from happening. It provides precise control for drilling into wood, metal, plastic, etc. I have used this drill on several projects & haven't had any issues with it. Actually used it to put together a dresser & it cut the building time in 1/2. Was way easier to use than a screwdriver & way faster! This drill is also more compact and lightweight than previous drills I have had, so it's easier to use in tight spaces. It also has a LED work light, so it helps il...
