Consistent Great Performers, 4 set changes

Not sure why anyone has had problems with these Touring TA 94H BFGoodrich tires. I've been putting these tires on two different vehicles for years. The were first recommended to me by a friend who had them on his car. Priced reasonably, I found out immediately that my car road quieter, gripped better and cruised smoother than before. I have tracked mileage on each set that I've purchased. The highest mileage set last about 60K miles, before they needed to be changed. The most recent set that I wore out lasted about 45K, but I knew that I didn't do the rotations and the alignments as much as I used to. When I put on this new set, last week, I immediately had the car aligned. I got mine from Sam's Club at about $83 apiece. I remember at least two sets of tires ago, I paid about $79. So they haven't gone up a lot. I only use these tires on both of my cars and I have been very pleased with their performance.
Originally purchased these tires 1-23-2009, mounted on a 2002 Honda Civic EX. Mileage on vehicle at time of purchase was 33635, vehicle now has over 97000 miles. I believe I got my money's worth out of these tires. Serviced vehicle regularly and at that time rotated tires, checked air pressure and made sure alignment was okay. Am in the process of getting a new set of these tires for the Civic.

    Didn't last a year

Although these are smooth riding tires and I mainly do highway driving, after less than 9 months and under 9,000 miles since purchase. I am told the tread is worn down to the point where I needed to replace them. These were supposed to be touring tires, so I assumed they'd last at least 2 -3 years. I keep my car maintained and wheels balanced, so I don't know why they wore out so fast.

The tire is excellent when new.

I have been purchasing these tires for several different vehicles and trucks for decades. The tires were an excellent value when they were about around $50. Now that the tires are near $100, you might want to look elsewhere. When new, the tires grip well in snow and ice. Even though there is a gracious amount of tread remaining at 30K miles, these tires lose much of their traction, especially when wet. As of my last purchase, I was told these tires are made by Michelin, here in the U.S., and that gives me comfort. I have repurchased these tires even though the price has spiked, but I am now seriously considering other alternatives. I will try the Michelin Defender, with an excellent rating and a higher 90k warranty, for only about $31 more.

    meh! Okay for the application.

Tires installed on 2005 Honda Odyssey. Lasted about 42-43,000 miles for 2-1/2 years. Replaced set when one tire became very wobbly. Dealer balanced wheels twice, but the third visit they finally said that the tire had separated. Tread remaining on tires ranged from 2/32 - 4/32, but I chose to replace the whole set since winter is near. I had hoped to get better mileage from these. Our traveling is mostly highway and paved, but does include regular travel on county gravel roads. Mileage was a little less than the previous set of Uniroyal Cross Country Tours and the Kelly tires before that. The BFGs were a smoother riding tire than either of the other two, especially the Kellys. This new set is the Advantage T/A Sport, only because that was the only tire the dealer had in stock. I don't like that they have less tread depth to start with.
