Works for me with itchy rashes & dry skin.
I'm prone to rashes, especially from poison ivy. along with calamine lotion, aloe vera and more, this works best to stop the itching. Unfortunately, the relief isn't really for long. There's no itching while I'm in the bath with this and a short while afterwards. I usually have to take 2 to 3 baths a day. Overall, I highly recommend it for itchiness due to rashes and/or dry irritated skin. I also use the Equate brand that is much cheaper and have found no difference in relief. Just follow directions on the box: empty one packet into the stream of warm water, not hot. Let the bath do the rest.

Lack of Clarity
I am disturbed by the lack of clarity regarding ingredients. The packaging as well as information online only list the "active ingredient" which is obviously colloidal oatmeal. Upon reading further, the label states, "If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately." why would poison control be necessary if the ONLY ingredient is Oatmeal? When you click the link for full list of ingredients it only brings you to the natural ingredients and says nothing about preservatives or anything that may require poison control. I refuse to use products without knowing what is in them. I would love some answers.

Life changing

My face is very sensitive and red. Recently became itchy and flakey to the point where I was going nuts. It was so uncomfortable. I wanted something that would help but be all natural. You know how it is the more ingredients the higher the risk of reaction and making it worse. So I bought this and instead of using in the tub I just mixed a small amount with water into a face mask. Left it on for 10 minutes then rinsed off. The relief! So wonderful, almost instantly and lasting. I plan to repeat once a week.

I love this product...

It makes my skin soft and helps with my itching.

Amazing

I decided to work in the garden at the property I work at as a Comunity manager for the elderly. I was exposed to poison ivy. It took a couple days for the infection to really kick in. When it did I was miserable. I had many interactions with health care providers. The prescribed medications. I asked the pharmacist if there was something I could use in the bathtub that would relive the itching and burning. She said Aveeno bath treatment. It was amazingly the best thing that happened to me. I might actually be able to sleep tonight. Thank you!

I finally found relief!

I had been fighting a miserable bout of eczema for over a year. I'd been to two different dermatologists and tried multiple treatments, but still suffered from a constant sensation equivalent to a barrage of mosquitoes. My skin was scarred from scratching and my bed had blood spots where'd I'd scratched myself raw in my sleep. I thought I'd gone through the whole rack of products in the skin department when I was told about this product.

Just my first bath alone was incredibly soothing. I used this nightly for a week and for the first time in a year, I slept peacefully. My skin had a chance to heal and my outbreak subsided. The next time I had a flare, I started another round of oatmeal baths and it never got a chance to get bad.

I should also note, I did try the generic product at one point and it doesn't hold a candle to this brand.

1. Not nesscersary just bath in it and leave bath as you would normally
by LESCOOL
2. Hello. For a warm, comforting bath that calms irritated skin and soothes your entire body, we recommend to turn on the faucets on full force, then slowly sprinkle a packet directly under the faucet into the tub or container. Soak affected area for 15-30 minutes as needed and pat dry (do not rub) to keep a thin layer on the skin. You do not need to rinse the product off. Thanks for your question!
by Johnson & Johnson Support Team
3. You can, but why would you? I don't and I have no issues. The residue shouldn't be much left on your skin and the benefit is in that. If you want to, go ahead and rinse. It's up to you.

1. Thanks for reaching out, Lucy. We do not recommend use of our products on pets. Please consult your veterinarian if you have questions about your pet's health needs. Have a great day!

2. As an animal lover I must advise you telephone your veterinarian and ask because although it is just oatmeal, some cats do have grain allergies, which might make them sick. Remember that cats like to lick themselves. I have a cat with a grain allergy and I wouldn't use this on her. Hope this helps.
