This litter is wonderful!!! The only time I smell the litter boxes now is right when the cats use them (one of my cats likes to lay "bombs")--after a few minutes I don't smell it at all. It improves the "cat smell" in my house immensely. I've even had a few people ask me if I still have cats. Cleaning the litter box can still be a pain because the litter is very light and takes time to sift. Also you HAVE TO give the litter some time before you sift it because while the litter forms hard clumps it takes a little time for it to form the clumps. I also like that I use less litter with this product because the urine doesn't sink all the way to the bottom of the pan, it starts to soak it up right away using less litter to do so. Also, I would prefer to have it flushable, but at least it's biodegradable unlike traditional litters. Love this product!!!

Have been using this litter for more than 5 years & I love it! Has a slight scent (similar to cedar), but is not overwhelming. Added bonus is no dust.

I was very hesitant to purchase this item at first, as I am on a very low fixed income, and if it didn't do what it claimed to do, I would be in trouble before the month was out. I took a chance though and am very glad to have done so. I normally buy roughly 35 lb tubs of the scoopable litter, so it was a big chance with 18 pounds. I was so surprised at the results! This product had no dust to choke me, smelled absolutely wonderful, lasted easily twice as long as the scoopable sand type litters, and clumped so well that once a day scooping was more than adequate, even with three adult cats. My cats had no problems with the transition; in fact it is obvious they prefer it. It costs a bit more than the other brands, and you get a good deal less, but I assure you it is WELL worth it. You can't go wrong with this product, for sure. Much less messier, smells great even with multiple cats, no dust and lasts twice as long as the sand, which tends to turn into a sticky clay like substance with urine? Yeah this is a no-brainer for sure. Well worth the money; I highly recommend it for all applications. My bag lasted the entire month with some to spare. Just remember though that this litter is NOT intended to be flushed; you will need to dispose of it in the trash.

Litter has somewhat of a strong smell but not unpleasant. Cats took right to it and the odor of the litter helps mask other smells. Much less dust than the clay litter and more biodegradable. I live in the country so this goes over the hill vs in the trash and the clay litter doesn't degrade which is why I switched. I wanted something a little more eco friendly. It doesn't clump quite as tightly as litter but does clump and I'm satisfied with the purchase and would recommend. It also seems to last longer than the same amount of the clay did and the cats don't scatter it as much and don't have as much dust to breathe in.

    • A. I'm no plumbing expert what so ever, but i think this is probably somewhat flushable if not large quantities at once, and not an ancient plumbing system. It's made of small corn pieces. I love this litter!

    • A. it is all natural corn fibers, but it is also a clumping litter. I would NOT advise flushing it down the toilet.

    • A. I don't believe so. It doesn't specify that and from all of the other products and reviews I've read, nobody mentions being able to flush it or doing so. The products that are flushable, it'll specify it on the packaging and people will mention it in the reviews. I wouldn't risk it if I were you.

    • A. Ironically I too have a septic tank. Ours however, is an Aerobic system with pumps, so for that I would say no. The old fashioned septic tanks with leach lines I wouldn't know. But most products have a manufacturers website with more specific advice. I always check with the individual manufacturers before putting anything down the drain. Septic repairs are extremely expensive. Some failures can force you to replace a whole system. GOOD LUCK.

    • A. Cat litter should never be flushed, even if it's labeled as "flushable". I've provided a link to an article with all the details of why you should not flush cat litter. http://www.dailyfinance.com/2011/02/26/cat-litter-is-it-green-if-you-flush-it/.

    • A. I don't think so. It produces a nice heavy clump. I collect this twice a day in a paper lunch bag and place in the plastic trash bag. No odor build up. It's all natural. Smells like orange peels. Cats like it.
