The Ameriwood home Tv stand with fireplace is a great upgrade to any room. It can hold a tv up to 120 lbs or 65” wide. The Unit I received to review came in a Dove grey, with the mesh doors and handles being a gun metal color Also this unit can be used with or without the 23” wide electric fireplace insert that comes in handy when needing to heat a small space. Overall aesthetically this is a very attractive piece of furniture.
Thankfully the instructions were well illustrated thereby making the Assembly less difficult though still tedious due to all of the pieces, which by the way, were helpfully labeled.
My greatest issue with the product was the poor condition some of the pressed wood boards were in. Upon unboxing we noticed Several boards were cracked and had begun to split. And one major board where the tv sits had a nice size chunk of painted wood missing which causes the top board to lift up when the unit is being moved even after adding glue. Therefore, for me at least, making the Quality of the unit somewhat questionable. The assembly time for two people was about 1 ½ hours. The unit is made of laminated MDF and Particleboard and weighs about 145 lbs after assembled. The dimensions are 30.6”H x 59.6”W x 18.5”D.
The unit has 3 divided compartments just below the TV and one adjustable shelf behind each door. Also there is a shelf that sits in the middle of the unit if the fireplace insert is not being used. There are wire management holes in the back to keep your cords from becoming tangled. The electric fireplace comes standard with a 6 feet cord When using the electric fireplace make sure the unit is 1-½” away from the wall to allow proper heater ventilation. The fireplace voltage 120vac watts 1400. The fireplace has a digital readout and can be controlled using the remote. The settings consist of the flame control, heat temps, power and timer. The heater worked OK... however when the flame display was being used it made a very annoying clicking sound. Overall aesthetically this is a great product but quality wise I'm totally on the fence.
