    Blown Away!

This is my first Alienware laptop and is a bit of an indulgence and wish fulfilment, as I've wanted an Alienware for years, not necessarily to play games, but just because I've always really liked their style. I bought the Alienware 15 R3 with 16gb RAM, and also added an SSD in order to boost speed on boot up and when running general Windows tasks. I wasn't disappointed! Coming from a Dell 5000 series laptop this Alienware is lightening fast and feels very solid. It's a bit on the heavy and slightly bulky side, but given the power this thing has it's actually more than manageable, weighing a little over 3kg. The screen is crisp and bright with excellent viewing angles, and the keyboard is very tactile and responsive, feeling much better quality especially in comparison to my old Dell. The back lighting on the keyboard and strips along the edge give it a really smart and stylish look, and really adds to its premium quality feel and I'm also liking the back lit touchpad. Speakers are also excellent, far exceeding my expectations. Software wise there is a surprising lack of bloatware, and the software is actually useful. I chose to add a full version of MS Office 2016, as this amazing machine will be getting used for much more than gaming. I haven't really had chance to test it for gaming, other than for a quick blast on The Sims 4, but I will be getting Gears of War 4 very soon but I'm confident it'll cope with no issues at all. Overall I'm extremely happy with this computer. It wasn't cheap by any means, especially considering I got extra RAM, an SSD, Office 2016 and antivirus software, but it looks so smart and stylish, as is by far the quickest machine I've ever used, that it is worth every penny. i highly recommend it :)

Best gaming laptop, best customer services

Alienware 15r3 is simply the best computer for gaming. It 's a new desighn and yes i had some issue with bleeding ips screen and cpu high temp, but everything was resolve with excellent custumer support from Alienwre usa. They have replaced and exchange all the parts to my complete satisfaction. They even exchange my computer for a brand new one with upgrade for free of a 120 hz panel to resolve the issue of bleeding screen. Any other companie would have told me that it is normal to have little light bleed with ips panel but not Alienware. Buy alienware with confidence and if any issue comes up with you're product, you will be amazed on how alienware is willing to go to make you happy. Also i have to mention that it is the most beautiful, solid computer i have i ever used, Much better than the previous version or any other computer i ever used. If you ever need help with you're alienware please contact special team alienware in USA. They are the best. Also i recommend purchasing the extended warranty.I did.

    College engineering laptop

Switched from long time Mac user to this PC. Encouraged by its performance, super fast, even though this is a 15", this is a beast - going from a macbook this is twice as heavy. doesn't fit in a regular laptop bag. Would recommend.

Macbook pro user recommend you alienware

Just got my Alienware 15 R3, 7700hq, 32 RAM, 512 GB+1T. I turned to alienware since I need a windows to run engineering software. I was struggling between AW 15 and razer blade. Since Dell has a good customer service and AW looks very quality and flamboyant in a mature way, I finally choose AW. Surprising high transmitting speed and the download speed is 30% faster than my Macbook Pro 15. The laptop is quiet in general, but a bit nosy when fan turns on, I mean nosier than MBP. Pros: Excellent ventilation. Quiet. Best Laptop keyboard (80% as good as mechanical key board with cherry switch). High performance (thanks to ventilation). High quality built. Looks like a laptop beast. Cons: Track pad sucks, track pad surface is not smooth. Track pad area is too small, one finger slide can't cover most of the screen(with most sensitive settings). Keyboard lights leaks much. IPS screen leak lights when you turn on pure black (a common problem). I believe in the future, AW will become lighter thinner, a better screen, and a total metal body would definitely be cooler.

    Alienware 15 R4

Great machine performance wise but the design getting a bit long in the tooth compared to light weight modern examples from the competition. 15 lacks numeric keypad. track pad and mouse buttons are particularly naff. Runs a bit cooler at a constant 69-74C which seems better than the gaming series at 84C+. included mcafee antivirus was a real pain, first thing to remove.

    Thank you.

Thank you for the Alienware R 13. Amazing! Thank you! Computers are my tools. Even though this computer is tricked for gamers, my focus was on the ability of the video card for virtual reality development. Secondly was the need for the robustness of good quality hardware, processor core, and operating system. I need this computer to act as a hub for something I am building using software that I made. I’ve waiting a long time to be able to afford a computer like this. I got a 1-year extra warranty. Just because. I have a number of Dell computers and they are like tanks. 16 gig ram. This is now my main computer. If I have a problem I want it fixed the next day. Dell does that. It runs cool. The lights are an amusing distraction. The one thing that I am very annoyed about is something that COMES with the r13. It is the Tobii eye-tracking software. In the r13 you can’t control it. All it does is sense when you are in front of the computer to power up or power down. That is smart and it comes with the r13. HOWEVER, the r17 comes with the full version. Had I known about this software, I would have purchased the r17. The work I do is sometimes with the elderly and infirm. Having this powerful a computer with Tobii eye control would be amazing. I can see the Alienware line being the choice of computer for those with impairments let alone die-hard gamers. Maybe the two universes will collide?

Example: This product has 'great' features

The machine itself runs great but i was very dissapointed when i found out the alienware graphic amplifier does not work with the internal gsync screen. Sure i can use a external monitor but i really dont want to hook up 10 things just for gaming and laptop + aga is still somewhat mobile. And i actually paid extra to upgrade the display and now im stuck with a lower tier gtx1060. At no point when viewing the laptop/aga page warn me about this it only say its compatible.I found out only after googling it and i feel really stupid now.

    One of the best

I have wanted an Alienware laptop for some time and I finally gave in and purchased the 15"with 6th generation i7 and GTX1070. This machine is amazing, its really fast, is an incredibly high quality build and is designed well go ensure the components are adequately cooled. It is a little heavy but considering what you are getting its a bit hard to complain. I don't plan on lugging it around with me so the weight was not a consideration when I bought it. The fans when gaming can get a little loud but I normally have headphones in for most of the time so it doesn't bother me. I would recommend this machine to anyone thinking of buying a 15: gaming laptop. They are a little more expensive then some others in the market but are absolutely worth it in my opinion.

    Great Computer

I bought the GTX 1070 model, and i found it to be much better than I expected. Its a bit weak on the Battery Life, and the design is a bit bulky, and large. But it makes up for more than that, with it's incredible performance, and great gaming graphics, and fast processors. I would definitely recommend this computer to someone else, despite it's slightly expensive price tag

Lack of VR accessories in Malaysia

Overall is a good laptop but I won't suggest anyone get a VR enable laptop in Malaysia. 1) The laptop price is expensive 2) You practically can't get any VR accessories in Malaysia for the meant time and there is no actual date you will be able to get them. 3) I do check with oculus and HTC vive, they are not shipping to Malaysia for the time being. Unless dell willing to carry the accessories and make them available in Malaysia , I don't think there is any point to get a BR enable laptop as the price is really insanely high.
