Was watching my cat scratch constantly after using frontline. Switched to advantage and w/in 2 days, fleas gone & dermatitis caused by bites cleared up completely. Highly recommend.

This flea medicine didn't annihilate all the fleas on my cat after the first or second use. It killed some off, which makes it a fairproduct, but she was still incredibly infested even after the medicine was applied. The directions said to reapply after one week in cases of severe infestation, which it was, but it did no good. In conjunction with using this flea medicine, I was giving my cat flea baths using flea shampoo. I usually always gave her the bath on the floor (lathering her with soapy flea shampoo water combined with dish soap and letting it sit) so I could see the fleas fall off or jump off trying to escape on my white linoleum floor so I could catch and kill the live ones falling off or jumping off and put the dead ones in the bowl. The shampoo seemed to work wonders compared to this flea medicine, which really disappointed me for what I paid for this flea treatment. I bought this flea medicine because I read great reviews about it from others, which gave me hope. One guy said not to waste your money on anything else because this medicine worked, which sounded quite confident to me. This medicine didn't didn't work for my cat (and I'm still researching the "best" flea annihilator medicine out there), but according to the reviews it has worked for other cats, which is great. Pro: the medicine killed a few fleas here and there. Con: this is an overpriced treatment medicine considering it didn't do its job. I've used this medicine, flea bombs, flea shampoo, sprinkled salt all over my floors (dehydrates fleas and kills them), and am still currently using a Victor flea light (which works fantastic at killing fleas!). But I'd have to say what has worked best so far is the flea light and giving my cat daily flea baths just combing and sifting thru her fur (I alternate days shampooing her so her skin doesn't dry out) and continuously vacuuming.

    Satisfied Customer

My vet recommended this brand to helps my cats fight their flea battle. One of my cats is an indoor / outdoor cat and he always brings hitch hikers in with him. This brand sure beats Frontline Plus brand! I'll keep purchasing Advantage II. Shopping thru Walmart beat my local pet supply store and I didn't have to leave the house to get it.

Great unless your cat is intelligent

Works great worth the money but if your pet is inherent is intelligent they'll rub the back of their neck against the couch or something to get it off so you gotta watch em lol

    Cat mom in love

In a house with multiple cats this product does the job we never have a problem with fleas. I have one cat that is allergic every other flea meds but this one would highly recommend!!

This is the best flea product I have ever purchased.

    1. I would use the under 9 lb drops on my big cat but not the over 9 lb drops on my smaller cat. I would be afraid that the smaller cat would not be able to tolerate the amount of medication in the drops for bigger cats.
    by squirrely
    2. I highly doubt the one pound will make much difference on the smaller cat. I have 2 small cats and one that is about 13 pounds and I actually use the the treatment for small cats for all 3 of them and it's been working great. I would recommend using the small cat dose for the larger cat just because I know from experience it will work and my philosophy is to under dose a pet rather than over dose.

    3. Just use the over 9lb. I had a 15lb cat that it worked fine on until she never came home.

    1. It is a flea and tick medication for large cats
    by BAdams
    2. That depends on what you are asking. There are 4 tubes of fleas prevention inside the box with stickers to label the date you administered the treatment and for when the next treatment is due. The active ingredients of the flea treatment are: Imidacloprid 9.10% Pyriproxyfen 0.46%

    3. Topical flea treatment applied between the shoulder blades where cat can't reach around to lick off and ingest.
