I've had a lot of drawing tablets, and have always went with the expensive Walcom tablets. The only Walcom tablet I could afford were the smaller tablets. I never like the fact that the connection came from the side, and you couldn't change the orientation. This tablet is huge, and the USB connection emerges from the top instead of the side. There is so much room to move around, and I love the quick task buttons at the top of the tablet which makes cutting a pasting a breeze. I like the thinness of the tablet, and the shear sheet of plastic for tracing. The software that comes with the tablet is sort of questionable with regard to it being Mal-ware, but Windows 7 and above finds the drivers automatically, so you don't need to install any of the drivers or software included with the tablet unless you want to. I used mine with Corel Draw, Paint, and Photo Shop. I love it. This tablet is totally worth the price.

An amazing product
When I got my tablet, I had some doubts in it about how well it would work and how complicated it may have been. But as soon as it arrived the next day even though it was suppose to in about five days, I was pretty excited. Everything was easy to figure out and quite simple. And the ease of use and the fact that you can get use to drawing on it quickly. All and all, this product is worth the cost and is very useful. The only thing that I would have to say is that I have Windows 8, so I had to go on the website and get a different installment so that I could set my pen settings on right. I didn't install any of the other software because I use Paint Tool Sai (which works pretty good, but sometimes the pen freezes), so I don't know how they behave. But if you want to start digital drawing, I suggest buying this product.
Excellent tablet for hobbyist artist
I didn't expect to get such a great tablet for such a cheap price. The size is comfortable, and after a little practice it is very easy to use. In order to get the pen to respond after switching to the mouse/keyboard for a moment I have to press on the pen tip, but that can't really be considered much of a flaw at all. It comes with several programs that are fun to use to get adjusted to the software and hardware. All in all, a great buy. I would definitely recommend this tablet to an amateur/hobbyist drawer.
I bought this for my gf and at first I was worried it wouldn't be good enough seeing as what she really wants is a 1,000.00 Wacom. When it arrived I quickly installed it and all I heard after that was "have I told you how much I love this tablet" lol. It has a full set of customizable macro keys to make quick edits possible example: if you mess up you can set it to step back one stroke, you can make cut and paste macros, email macros and save macros plus much more. Probably her only draw back was it does offer a tracing ability but looks like it's easier to just free hand it.
Nice, Simple, and works well!
I installed the drivers and the associated software. As the other reviewer noted there is a trojan, but it is NOT in the driver or the tablet, it is in one of the associated pieces of software that you do not need to install to use the tablet. The software was like pensoft or something like that(on one CD there is 3 different pieces of software a note one, ink free and I think pensoft, it is pensoft that has the trojan), I just removed that piece of software and then rescanned my computer and everything was fine and ran well. I would just suggest skipping installing that piece of software and you should not have any problems with trojans. I had never used a tablet before and was able to quickly figure it out, and was able to draw a simple image in GIMP with it. I also used this tablet while creating a fractal image in Apophysis and the tablet worked great and actually made creating the fractal a lot easier and quicker than when I use my mouse or the touch pad on my laptop. The size of the drawing space is wonderful, and the sensitivity of the pen is very nice for drawing. And it is very light weight for its size. Even with the little mishap with the one piece of software I am very happy with the product, and may glad I bought it.
Big Work Surface Area and Easy Use
I gave this to my son for his 18th birthday. He does sketching and comics. He's been wanting to try one out, so I thought this looked like a good starter tablet. He likes the size of the work surface-was actually shocked to see how big it was. He liked the ease of installing, which made using it right away a piece of cake. I read earlier reviews about the pensoft program and having a trojan virus. so he didn't install it. He really likes the way the pen works with the different pressure applied. Very nice. I also like the fact that it's compatible with XP, Vista, and Windows 7. They're hard to find. I think this was a great starter tablet for my son. He used it within 15 minutes of opening the package. I'm glad he likes it.
Very good product with a reasonable price. I'd recommend it to any one wanting to enhance their digital art work or even playing games. Fun to use, easy to get use to!
Bought this for a 12 yr old. He loves it. Hours creating instead of gaming.
Good News and Better News
This product is super efficient for artists or people who like precision while using their computer. I recommend to use Windows VISTA because it has a lot more features to it like when it recognizes your handwritng, gestures, etc. I use it for my art, I own a website and putting up pictures is my thing. Instead of going through all the hassle with a scanner, using this product will automatically save it your computer, and you don't have to use somebody else's work. Plus, it's almost like writing in a book, because it's as comfortable as writing on paper. I would totally recommend this product to bascially anyone interested in more comfort, more precision, or like to draw and have their art on their computer.
Great Graphic Tablet
I had this tablet for just over one month, and the only complaint is that the pen freezes up from time to time. It could be that I am touching the controls on the pen unintentionally, but not a big problem to overcome. After playing with the tablet for several days the software seemed to work better every time I used it (might just be my imagination). The programmable short cut icons on the top and sides of the tablet are very handle. I also found the pen's “tip feel” adjustment control in the software and lowered the tip feel from “max/firm” to soft. This helped with the response of the pen. I also learned to adjust my brush tool in my Adobe software and that helped with the look of my brush strokes. Now, the pen and tablet works as expected. I would recommend this tablet as a good starter tablet for someone wanting to learn how to create digital art/graphics for fun. This is well worth it for a beginner or a kid who may continue using it or not. Great beginner's tablet, great price and worked as advertised.
