Read and heed be 4 u purchase this company product

This product has the same specifications from the model I own, and I want you to be aware of Acer's company so you can make an informed purchase. I've owned the Acer A100 for over a 15 months and approximately at the 13 and a half month period it stopped booting up and would not work altogether. Many others have had the same thing happen to them with this product. Simply type into your browser 'acer a100 problems' and see for yourself. There's got to be some inferior manufacturing flaw or product part deficiency from a certain acer's manufacturer plant or supplier that has caused these many product from just going bad just after the warranty has expired, so my best advice to anybody who would purchase this product is to at least get extra warranty coverage for at least one more year past the manufacturer's warranty. I would stay away from purchasing any acer product altogether due to the uncertainty of quality control and manufacturing deficiency.

Trial purchase to update old tablet

I received my refurbished Acer Iconia 7" Tab and am very happy with it. I was able to plug it in and start using it right away. I am not a real technical person but I found the clarity of the screen to be very good. I was also able to hook up with my wifi very easy and started browsing getting used to both the tablet and its capabilities. The only drawback is I wished it had come with a user manual or had one loaded into the tablet. That would help me expand my capability to use it. I also like the lock that allows me to hold the screen as I move the tablet, or to unlock it and let it go to landscape. For me the size is another plus, it is very handy and for my use quite comfortable. When I get ready to upgrade again I would seriously consider another refurbished tablet, and especially an Acer brand.

Great features and good value.

Bought this for my grandson's 12th birthday. It seems to be able to run all the apps and games he is interested in and works well as a reader. He originally wanted a 10" tablet but has since said that he is very happy with this one. His father has a Kindle Fire and has said that he likes the Acer Iconia tablet better!

An excellent tablet for under $200

I bought this because I wanted to get familiar with the Android operating system, and learn to program in it. But I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I first bought a piece of junk called Filemate. I got one, it didn't work, I returned it and got another one, which was even worse than the first one. Then I got this tablet for about $50 more, and it works great! It is fast and I have not had a bit of trouble with any app I've tried to install. The Micro-HDMI port is a very handy way to connect it to a TV! Some more-expensive tablets are lacking this important feature. There are 2 things I wasn't happy about. It has only a self-facing camera. I'm not narcissistic enough to want only pictures of myself. It's not a convenient form-factor for a camera, but I still would have liked there to be a camera on the other side for taking a picture of things other than me. My other complaint is probably true of any tablet: you have to use a lot of trial-and-error to figure out how to use it. I can still remember when computers came with manuals! Using it is not at all intuitive, especially for someone like me who didn't already have some familiarity with Android. For instance, it took quite some time before I discovered, quite by accident, that you touch-and-hold to access the editing functions. Expect to spend a lot of time figuring out even simple operations.

Great Tablet.. my first one..

I've used many tablets, but i had never broken down and purchased one. This one was a little older but was a great deal for as much of machine that the specs claimed. Been using it for a while now, and no complaints about how it runs or speed.. it whips though anything with easy. The only downfall is its limited memory. Android system removed the ability to move most apps to external SD to attempt to force people to get the expensive larger built-in memory versions. Thats the worst thing android ever did. I may steer away from android in the near future for this. They tried to say it was to try to stop piracy, but no one with any sense would believe that because anyone with any knowledge can tell you that didnt stop anything. It only hindered honest users and everyone else from enjoying using these things because if you install a few large apps you can use them for a little while then you are forced to uninstall them to be able to add other apps. Its the worst thing ever. I used to love android as i was once a disgruntled apple user... now i am seriously disliking android too.. Guess i may be moving to a Windows Tab next like the surface two.. they offer ALOT more freedom, and microsoft knows computers better than anyone..

refurb unit, back case broke in 1 week. one corne

Good performer an specs. Was putting in SD card and about to apply screen protector when one corner piece fell off. then noticed the other corner has fracture in it also. This has been used mostly at home and treated with care. Greaet CPU but screen has wide rim around it so that Acer case hides part of the screen image. or my case was defective.

Nice tab except for the stoo-pidd camra

This thing is great. Its amazingly fast has great resolution etc etc... But if I would have known about the camera, that FACES YOU I think I would have gone with a different tab.
