I had the first generation and had no problems for 1 1/2 years. I bought Avail 2 December 2013 for me and one for my mother based on how well Avail 1 worked. I started to have trouble within two weeks on the Avail 2. The keyboard would dissapear while texting constantly. The microphone only works occasionally on keyboard. I bought a micro sd and need to reset the phone to basic setup often. SD cards only keep contacts and photos. None of my texts or anything on phone calendar is ever transfered when I reset. I rely on my calendar that the phone offers but can no longer. I don't even bother with bluetooth because I have to reprogram code into my car everytime I reset phone. My mother has same problem of keyboard locking up but no where near as much as I do. I have a Walmart extended warrenty but I have to call and go through a process and really don't have the time to deal with it so I still have it. I have to factory reset my phone at least everyother week.

I bought the phone because it's pre-paid and fairly cheap, it was $100 when I first bought it. After 4 months, it stopped receiving phone calls and texts so I had to take it and get a new SIM card for it. No damage to the phone. 3 weeks after that, the bottom half of the screen would freeze while I was texting, which is how I conduct most of my business for work. I did a hard reset, got another new SIM card, and had it looked at. I ended up having to get a replacement and this one has lasted not but 3 months and it's doing it all over again with no damage having come to the device at all. If you're looking for a cheap, first-time phone for your kid(s), I would say get this, but if you're serious about owning a phone...stay away. The Avail 2 is garbage and I am on my way to the store to pick up a brand new phone.

    Worst Phone Ever

AT&T has outdone themselves. They have made the worst phone ever! The internet connection is terribly slow and that is if you have it on WiFi, which, you never know, because it keeps slipping back into airplane mode and you have to keep changing it back. If you are using the 3G that I get here in my area, it's even worse. Texting a friend? You may as well call them, because the phone will call them anyway. As soon as you're done texting, the phone will automatically call the person unless you shut it off quickly. Trying to talk on the phone? You will be able to hear them loud and clear - usually because it puts them on speaker phone for you. Or, you will hear them but they can't hear you because the phone put them on hold. Sometimes, it just hangs up. I have taken the phone to AT&T and told them what was going on. They said my face was hitting buttons (not sure about the text-to-call feature) and they made it go black whenever the receiver was near my ear. But that doesn't seem to matter, because even if the screen is black, your face STILL hits the buttons! I will never again buy a phone like this. I am starting to think it is possessed.

I got this phone for Christmas. It's my first android phone and I'm really happy with it. I use the wi-fi all the time and it works great. The screen is pretty responsive. Sometimes it does freeze up for a minute while loading an app, but for the most part it does a good job. I would recommend downloading Clean Master, as it empties your cache and gives you more space and free's up memory so that it runs faster, and I have noticed improvement in speed since I've installed that app. The camera quality is simply "ok", but I didn't expect much more for an entry level phone. Something I did notice though, as I searched the internet for reviews on this phone, they claim that it only has five homescreens, when in fact you can add up to NINE of them. I don't know why you would want that many, but it does allow you to add that many. On any homescreen, simply pinch OUTWARD and from there you can add or remove homescreens. I was pretty pleased to figure that out! This is a really nice android phone if you've never had one before. If you're looking for a front facing camera, camera flash and better camera quality, then you should get something more expensive. This is a great android phone for a beginner. Does everything you'd expect from an android, and then some!

This phone is awesome. Doesn't cost a fortune. Minutes are used only when I use them. Not when powering on or signing in. Got my music and videos on there from itunes. Battery life lasts me week. Very proud of this phone. I feel like them rich people, only smarter! LOL! Save money!
