First overall I am generally a fan of ASUS as a brand. This laptop fits the reputation. Sturdy build, decent cosmetics, and good specs for the price. My son uses this for classwork, but also mine craft which is graphical and intensive, and it holds up. Bought a Dell in the similar price range (a bit more) and not nearly as happy with it.

Great for class work and basic gaming
Brand New Awesome
Brand new, functions as should, small lightweight charger, nice crisp and smooth feeling keyboard, thin profile
One of the best laptops I have ever known, and I am a computer expert. it is very upgradeable. If you want to upgrade the ram, remember to remove the ram restrictor by the ram slots. Very light laptop.
Very happy with this laptop. My son told me to either get another Toshiba or an Asus, and this was priced right. Great picture, easy set up, large key board. Easy to use even for an old geezer like me.
For the money, this is a good laptop
For the $250 I paid for it, this is a great laptop. Sure, there are faster and more capable units out there, but I'm not aware of one that has a (pretty good) 1080p screen, a 128GB SSD and fingerprint sensor and doesn't cost A LOT more. Yes, the 4 GB memory is not too much, although for basic tasks like web browsing, word processing, checking email and so on, this will work just fine in stock form. You will certainly not play more demanding games on it, but that's not the point either. The 4 GB memory is easily doubled for cheap. Opening the case is a bit tedious, but it can be done by pretty much anyone. There are videos on YouTube showing it how. Get another 4 GB memory module to pair with the existing one and it will help to boost performance somewhat in dual channel mode. Look for product B07HJB2KSR on Amazon, this is what my laptop came with. I paid $21.50 for it. The processor is fine for the duty I described, and if you need more storage space, you can easily add another regular SSD in the empty caddy, since it comes with an M.2 boot drive. The fan comes on a little more than I like, but if this bothers you, there are (free) programs available that can control the fan and keep things more quiet. A lot of people complain about wifi issues. I had none of those, although my first thing was to get everything updated with the latest drivers from Asus, including the network adapter. Look here: https://www.asus.com/us/Laptops/F510QA/HelpDesk_Download/ I also disabled the "turn off this device to save power" setting for the wifi adapter in the Device Manager. No disconnected network connection for me. For those who complain about this being in Windows "S" mode - come on, it only takes a few minutes to get the corresponding app from the Windows store and turn it into Windows 10 Home. If you cannot manage that, then maybe you are better off staying in S mode for the added security, and avoid installing unverified programs. I wish the keyboard had backlight, it would help a lot - but other than that, it is difficult to find a better deal right now than this.
WIFI is the worst
great laptop but issue with WIFI is just a complete pain! Tried many methods to fix but with no luck and too late for me to return... not a great experience.
Have the Laptop less then two yrs and now it's overheating and making noise like a fan is about to go.

DO NOT BUY ASUS
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT! Worked great for a couple weeks, although the On/Off switch seemed a bit wonky. Then suddenly, the thing would not power up properly. It was on, HD was spinning, but no other activity. Took it to ASUS auth repair shop 2 months ago. 6 weeks ago they shipped it to ASUS for repair... now nobody knows where it is or whats going on with it. Everyone blaming COVID19- apparently it steals computers or something.
The WiFi connection is constantly being disconnected.
