The ASUS ROG Strix G Laptop embodies streamlined design, offering a formidable core experience for serious gaming and multitasking on Windows 10. Featuring the latest 9th Gen Intel Core processors and GeForce graphics, it brings impactful gaming performance to a wide audience. Intelligent Cooling unleashes the full potential of its leading-edge processors, while RangeBoost provides the strongest possible Wi-Fi signal for your environment. Wherever you play, illuminate the surroundings with Aura Sync on the new triple-edged light bar and 4-zone RGB keyboard. The striking design is inspired by our collaboration with BMW Designworks Group to imagine the future of gaming laptops. Raised ridges riff off the swooping gills of the Face Off concept, adding a sculpted surface that draws your eye to the extra venting above the rear exhaust. The offset cut below the display shifts the balance toward the other side, reinforcing a distinctive, asymmetrical edge that echoes a design element explored during the project's brainstorming workshops. Get the most out of your gaming with the ASUS ROG Strix G Laptop.

Have only played bf1 and destiny 2 on max settings and works great on only 8gb. Multiple applications were running as well and i never outnumbered any issues. I still added another stick of 8gb making a total of 16. I did see a different but not a HUGE difference. The lights on this is awesome The fan's are quiet and temperatures stay cool . I recommend it at 899$
Good computer. First thing out of the box make sure you update the the system and drivers. The audio was a bit choppy at times until I did this. Type windows update in the search bar at the bottom and install and restart the machine until it says its good. I've had no problem since . Also if your running games that run hot , prop up the back of the laptop so there's plenty of air flow. This goes with all laptops though. Gotta keep them cool (I ended up putting 16gb in it ,but if your wondering it comes with a single 8gb Samsung 2666mh DDR4 260-pin in the slot. )
This awesome high-powered gaming laptop arrived yesterday and I had it for 2 days now. I got it for about $899 when it was on discount during the "Black Friday in July" event and it was totally worth it! Pros: This laptop gives you the best price-to-performance ratio, with 512 GB SSD, intel i5-9300 CPU, and Nvidia GeForce 1660 ti graphics card (i don't think this was the Max-Q version), along with a 120 MHz FHD/IPS screen. I was very impressed by the shifting RGB keyboard lights and the lights on the bottom panel - they are simply gorgeous! The laptop has a powerful fan system to keep it cool - though the fans can be loud when under load (ie. when doing intense 3D gaming). I ran the 3D benchmark and the results were out of this world - probably the best graphics for 1080p gaming. The monitor screen is very bright. I ran FF XV on the highest setting - the combination of the monitor and graphics card creates a whole new level of experience (vs. my other Gtx 1050ti G3 Dell laptop). The speaker system is excellent. The Wifi is blazing fast - I finished downloading both FF XV and Call of Duty: Black Ops in about 1.5 hours (both take up about 200 GB of the SSD). Cons: lack of a build-in camera (on the flip side, may protect your privacy), Thunderbolt port (may matter to you if you are a heavy gamer). No USB ports at all on the right side of the laptop. Also you will need to add in a separate SSD/HDD drive as 512 GB is not sufficient for modern gaming. Overall I highly recommend getting this laptop whether you are a beginning or advanced gamer, particularly when it is heavily discounted. It is unheard of any laptop with these specs going for less than $1000, let alone $900!
This laptop features an i5-9300H aswell as a GeForce GTX 1660Ti (6gb). With both of these combined the laptop is extremely fast for gaming as well of course general working. One of the biggest sell points for me when I was looking at laptops was storage speed. This laptop features an PCIE SSD (M.2 NVme) which gives it one of the quickest storage on the market. This makes windows boot times almost non-existent as well as game loading times extremely low. The only down side to this laptop, for me at least, was that it had only one main drive (Although quick and high amount of storage) and only 8gb ram. Although this is true it only costed me around 50$ to make it 16gb and have a separate 500gb HDD for any items that I do not need to have on the PCIE SSD. Of course these specs paired with ASUS's name and support it is a win in every direction. This laptop is absolutely phenomenal in every way and I would definitely recommend buying it.
Bought this laptop during the $899 sale along with Rakuten's 5% Walmart cash back. Extremely fast, runs cool during gaming, and doesn't get too loud. Screen and RGB lighting is clean and bright. Very solid build quality and looks amazing. I added an extra 8gb of ram and another 500gb 2.5 inch SSD for a maxed out setup which I recommend. Extreme overkill for what I needed this laptop for, but couldn't be any happier with this product.
Pros: Good build quality; keyboard keys have good feedback; RGB lighting and case design is unique; screen bezel is thin; runs most games on highest settings with 30+ FPS; Power cord plugs into rear of laptop (stays out of way), has plenty of input/output ports. Cons: No dedicated numpad; no webcam; single channel memory; RGB lighting is not key-by-key; No caps lock light (a pet peeve of mine)
The GOOD: The best thing about this laptop is the form factor. Though it is made out of plastic and lacks the aluminum components of higher end models it doesn't really feel like a compromise. The RGB lighting is a nice touch but might not be for everyone. You can turn it off. I ended up going with this particular model because of the sale ($899) and the 1660 Ti graphics card. The 9th gen i5 performs well during multitasking loads! The temps are good during long sessions of Minecraft and are stable while staying relatively quiet. Why the i5 over the i7? Less likely to overheat. The i5 might bottleneck the graphics by a small margin but they work well together. The keyboard feels nice to type on and is quiet. Plus it is backlit. Sound is also surprisingly good on this model and its fun to see the backlits pulsing to the beat. The trackpad won't let you down but if you bought this you probably got it to game on, not to just Neflix and chill. The BAD: So the screen isn't the most color accurate thing but for me it is an upgrade regardless. It gets bright enough for me and for my needs, is sharp and clear. For creators you might want to look away if you need color accurate work or to purchase a decent display. Battery life isn't great but it is a gaming laptop. Fully charged you can probably expect around 3-4 hours depending on use. The absolute worst thing is that the unit only comes shipped with one stick of RAM. If you spring for this, be prepared to spring for another stick as this will help significantly in FPS for games like Overwatch. I purchased a dual memory kit, which came with two sticks, that were faster, and there is a significant increase in productivity. All in all, I would recommend this laptop. It's beautiful and runs great, especially with the upgraded RAM.
