I can't imagine a better antenna

This was my second install of a Clearstream 2V as I had one at my former residence. This last weekend I installed a new Clearstream 2V in my attic at my new home and tested the signal at the antenna using a Hauppauge tuner and their signal strength monitor software. Once I had the antenna aimed and set I went about running my coaxial through the house to the various drops and I tied it all together with the CDA4 distribution amp. I installed the amp at the end of a 50' foot run to split the signal to 4 different rooms. Tested the signal strength again at each drop and the signal was just as good if not even better at each outlet. Worked perfect. Great reception and from my attic install I pull in the furthest channel from 51 miles away with 25SNR. Almost all of my channels are 40+ miles out and I get all with terrific reception. I couldn't recommend this antenna enough. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

It Really Works!

I recently purchased this antenna (C2-V-CJM) and it really works! I got mine at Lowe's. I installed it on the side of my house. I adjusted the antenna for the best reception. I went from 32 channels to 64 channels with this antenna. No more fading in and out. The reception is Great! I am Very Happy with my purchase. Buy one today, you won't be disappointed. Great Amtenna, better picture than with satellite

We purchased this antenna hoping to delete our satellite subscription, they were just getting way to expensive. My husband got it assembles and we tried it out downstairs and were able to get about 12 stations. Moved it upstairs and put it in a window facing the stations and we are now receiving 44-47 stations. Mnay channels that we didn't get on satellite. The picture is much sharper that we had with satellite. My husband also says the sound is better, and he is a "sound man". Has training in running sound boards, so he knows what to listen for. We have had it going for two weeks now and honestly, don;t miss the satellite. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Antennas can save you money !

I purchased Antennas Direct C2-V-CJM ClearStream 2-V Long Range UHF-VHF Indoor-Outdoor DTV Antenna with 20" Mount from Walmart because I was tired of my monthly cable bill going up and up, while the quality of the programming went down. I expected to get a channel or two. Boy was I surprised! I have a flat screen HD TV and the pictures I get on my new antenna are incredible...better than cable! My house is located about 20-25 miles away from the nearest broadcasting location and I get from 3 to 13 channels with the antenna just 6 feet off the ground ! I intend to mount it higher to see if I can get more than 3 channels all of the time. In the meantime, I am enjoying 'FREE TV'.....no more monthly bills from the cable company. Very please with my purchase.

Best thing since Sliced Bread

Hard to put together but once you find it only goes one way, its OK. Worked out where the transmitters were located for my area and its working perfectly after mounting on roof. Better than Sliced bread as the TV service is FREE and the many channels all have high quality pictures

Hope ...can find more channel

It is easy to set up, and I don't need to do outdoor installing. It is the only thing that I hope and expect this Antennas could find more digital channels so far only 43. Fortunately, I could have a steady receiving for Fox and ABC. I have another one , which can find 69 channels. The overall of quality is good in HD.

Picks up channels from transmitters 40 miles away.

This antenna is picking up all the transmitters that are listed as within 60 miles from my zip code on antennapoint.com. It also picks up channels beyond this distance, which amazes me because there are a few large trees about 20 yards from the antenna that keep it from impede a clear line of sight in the direction of the transmitters. I mounted the antenna to the mast that a DirectTV satellite receiver was previously mounted to on the top of my home, and used that coax run to save me from running a new line. A few weeks after installing the antenna, I noticed that a few channels would drop occasionally. The signal was split with a two-way splitter in my attic for two televisions in the house. I removed the splitter and noticed a nice improvement on the television that was hooked up to the antenna, so I decided to purchase a Channelmaster CM-3414 amplifier/4-port splitter and the signal is now great for both of the televisions in the house. I re-scanned for channels after installing the amplifier and now I get even more channels. I am looking forward to years of saving money that we previously gave to Comcast for a bunch of channels that we never watched anyways! Due to the distance to most of the transmitters, I originally considered purchasing a directional antenna, but I knew that I would be sacrificing the quantity of channels that I could pick up for good signal on a few. I decided to give this antenna a try and I'm glad I did.

Better HD than cable or satellite

Live in northern Maine in a valley, about 13 air miles from transmission towers, with hills and woods between. Mounted this antenna on the outside wall of a manufactured home, just below the roof eave. www.antennaweb.org suggested a direction of 158 degrees. Both local stations, 6 channels, come in beautifully. Signal meter on TV shows 72-74 for one station and about 88 for the other. The picture is noticeably sharper than I have had with either HD cable or HD satellite. Was planning on using this antenna for storms, outages, etc., but the HD is so much better with this antenna, that I am now using this for all of my local channel viewing. Setup was very easy, instructions with the pictures are easy to follow. Certainly a more attractive design than the traditional metal rod antennas. Recommend using two people while checking the signal, one at the tv and the other at the antenna for tweaking the direction.

Purchased to drop cable!

The antenna worked great and was easy to assemble and install. I roof mounted it and living about 35 miles from the city, I am able to get 42 channels including all the major networks. The High definition was better than my cable provider that was charging me extra for the HD, because it is not compressed. Getting rid of a $130.00 a month cable bill was well worth it, paid for itself in first month.
