This is a basic, cheap security camera that hasn't blown me away with the quality. I wanted to use it initially to check in on my pets during the day, more out of curiosity than anything. I set it up in my living room first, which you can see in the screenshots I attached. But I'm not comfortable having that much of my living area recorded daily. So my real goal was to film my side gate and yard out of our kitchen window, as the gate doesn't lock and we had one instance of a stranger letting themselves into our yard. They left quickly and didn't take anything, so it was most likely a genuine mistake as we live in a complex, but all the same we've never felt as safe here since then. So I was excited to try this product. Unfortunately, at night the glare from this device's lights against the window make it impossible to see the yard, and it's definitely not weatherproof enough for the outdoors. Below is a full list of pros and cons as I see them with this device.
Pros: Image quality is excellent; you can set up the motion censor sensitivity for both day and night; can opt in or out of push notifications and emails separately for when motion is detected; can set specific times of day to automatically record activity and upload it directly to your cloud (google drive, etc); the night vision setting is clear and there are different levels you can choose between; you can unmute the stream in the app at any time; you can also speak through it from the app like a microphone; quick and easy setup.
Cons: The app is poorly translated into English, which makes it confusing to operate. It also freezes regularly, which means I have to force quit and restart it often. There's no desktop app or site where you can view the camera stream, meaning you have to use your phone to view it (unless you're automatically uploading everything to cloud storage); You can't record anything unless you purchase an SD card separately and install it, and that includes the function that uploads to the cloud automatically. The mount for the camera comes loose very easily, which means any time you slightly adjust it the camera it comes loose and falls over until you tighten it again.
