Best value for pro audio cans!

I bought a pair of these a year and a half ago now, just now writing a review, and here's my take: The quality of these phones is just terrific. Delivering noise isolation and bassy goodness in a closed-back design that won't leak sound, the AKG K553 Pro Studio Headphone delivers a high-end listening experience at an entry-level price. With the expansive soundstage of an open-back model, these offer exceptional performance for use in the studio and in my home studio for audio mixing and monitoring. The 50-millimeter drivers offer a strong, accurate bass response that doesn't muddle the midrange, delivering music that sounds engaging and impactful. At 32 ohms, the super low-impedance K553 Pro pairs easily and extremely well with mobile devices and high-end desktop setups alike. I'm picky about my comfort, and the K553 Pro's over-ear design and soft, leatherette earpads deliver, providing super soft, comfortable listening for hours on end, and the adjustable headband accommodates the biggest of heads like my huge noggin with room to spare. Can't say enough about these, and couldn't recommend them more! I had been considering the outstanding K702s but went with these, choosing closed back isolation and saving over $100 while not compromising on total pro quality, at a home budget cost! Go get these, you'll be happy you did!

No regrets

I've had these headphones about a year now, plenty of bass, great volume, honestly zero complaints. As generic as my review may sound, I genuinely really like these.

Adjustable head band too large.

Head band's smallest configuration is too large for a normal person's head and will not fit snug over the ears. This poor lack of snug fit over / on the ears allows outside noise to enter and interfere.
