About this item

Product details

From the award-winning creators of the best-selling games, Exploding Kittens and Throw Throw Burrito, A LITTLE WORDY is a fresh take on the genre of word-unscrambling games. Rather than being another game of “who has the biggest vocabulary?” A Little Wordy requires players to assemble a word from a set of tiles and keep that Secret Word to themselves. Each player then takes turns trying to decipher each other’s Secret Word by asking for clues and hints. You and your opponent are each given a pile of letters. Rearrange the letters in your pile until you come up with a word. Keep this word a secret. Scramble your letters and swap them with your opponent. Take turns trying to decipher each other’s Secret Word by asking for clues and hints.
  • Each game lasts about 15 minutes
  • Designed specifically for two players
  • Contains 16 Bird Cards, 81 Letter Tiles, 40 Berry Tokens, 2 Cloth Bags, 2 Dry Erase Shields, Instructions, 2 Dry Erase Markers
  • For Ages 10 and up

This game is an amazing brainy date night game, but we need help settling a dispute...

On the card quid pro quail...As it's Quid pro quailGive and takeAnd requires you an your opponent to reveal a tile letter that hasn't been revealed...May an opponent use the card if they can not also reveal a tile.I.e.All letter tiles in the word have been revealed, all the non letter tiles have been removed,And the exact number of letters is also revealed and the player just need to figure out spelling. Can a player still use that clue card if the player can not also reveal a tile letter to their opponent that isn't already revealed.

This is Fun, just not our favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with Exploding Kittens, game is a little more complicated than I prefer to play. I'm more into easy to play games like 5 Crowns, 6 Nimmt, and Cover your Assets. Actually, maybe we just prefer number games to word games? Either way, it just wasn't a game we'd pick up and play again.

Such a perfectly fun-filled family game!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A cross between scrabble and hangman! Set up is quick, super easy rules, and each round only takes maybe 10min or so to play (depending on how challenging of a word and strategic you are, ha!). Although it is only a two player game, we have played with groups and turned out great! So very fun and entertaining! Greatly appreciate the another great game from the minds of Exploding Kittens! Highly recommended for those who are looking forward to playing a very entertaining game!

    Fun and cerebral!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a self-proclaimed logophile. I love words! Big, small, formal or slang; it doesn't matter. I am that gal with a word-a-day calendar obsessing over any word puzzle I can find. A Little Wordy is a game that feeds that desire to play with words. Although this two-person game is simple to understand, it is still a satisfying challenge. Your opponent often expects an obscure pick yet the most ordinary choice is often the winner. It is fun and cerebral! Let's play!

    Fun!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My two girls had a great time playing this over the Memorial Day weekend. This game challenged their vocabulary while they tried to outsmart each other. Will definitely add this game to family game night!
