My husband was concerned upon ordering of the quality because of the good price point, but upon arrival and assembly, we thought it was a great buy ! We saw similar stools on other sites for far more money . Seat is not overly large but was still comfortable for his 240 Lb weight . Look just like the pictures and is made of side wood and layered wood . Also has foot adjustment for uneven floors .

Cute and seem sturdy but some rough edges.
There were several places on the seat that the wood was chipped leaving rouch edges for splinters or snagged clothing. This damage was only on one of the four stools that I purchased. Two of the screws that allow stabilization of the bottom of stool legs would not screw in all of the way. I've only had them put together for a few days so time will tell on sturdiness, etc. They look great other than that.
