Poorly wrapped with single layer of thin battered cardboard. shipping tape was flimsy and only one layer thick (totally insufficient). Styrofoam was also too thin and was in dozens of pieces. The headboard and footboard were damaged such that they required extensive sanding to fit into the side and top pieces. Plastic end protectors were also thin and broken. The metal hex wrench was made of soft steel and the hex bolts were even softer steel so they rounded out on the inside (very bad). I paid what I felt was a premium over other sleigh beds on the internet and I got a piece of poorly made junk. Absolutely no QC or shipping protection. I am a handyman and have the tools and will make this shoddy piece of manufacturing into a nice bed. It is a shame for anyone to have to endure problems of this magnitude.

Cheaply made I've only had it for a week and the slats broke already. They are made really cheap for all the money I spent on this bed. All I did was sleep in it. I would not recommend. It should not have broken and it's only been 1 week.
