Costway 24.5" Bar Stool Set of 2 with Solid Rubber Wood Frame Humanized Footrest Kitchen Gray

First and foremost, these stools are NOT upholstered in black, as described. They are dark grey. Made in Vietnam. They arrived well-packaged and in generally good condition. Some hairline cracks in the wood were found in a few places but only time will tell if that becomes an issue. Paint looks good. There were spots of a strange white adhesive on both seat cushions that eventually rubbed out with some elbow grease. Lots of loose threads on the upholstery that needed to be cut off; the manufacturer should have taken care of that. Assembly was relatively straight foward; the 4 main vertical legs bolted nicely to the finished seat, but then the pain came. The 4 horizontal lower support bars need to be secured to the legs with rather long wood screws (8 per stool / 16 per set). Unless you have power assisted tools, you will likely not have a good time manually screwing these in. The finished result is ok, I suppose. I plan to replace their cheap plastic feet with something better; these slip all over the place %26 would likely scratch a hard floor. In hindsight, I should have gone with an all-metal stool. I've had good success with several products in the Vasagle Ekho collection, but there were no stools in black %26 white. There were no previous reviews on these, so I rolled the bones.
