I'm a huge Leatherman guy, and I love Gerber for work. Figured it was time to invest in a SOG. So I did. Here's my POV: Compound Leverage Pliers are exactly what SOG says they are. They are indeed force-multipliers and if you use your pliers frequently this feature will appeal to you. No other multi tool on the market opens as buttery smooth as a SOG. I chose the Power Assist for the 2 outside opening blades and they are exactly like any other SOG blade in the way they deploy: fast but a little stiff. The tool selection for the Power Assist is decent but not spectacular. For a heavy-duty multi tool, the tools themselves are medium duty based on their relative size to the multi tool itself. They all clump so if that's a problem for you then don't purchase a SOG but it's not a problem for me. I really like that SOG offers an open architecture so it's pretty easy to swap out the tools if you so choose. The sheath is good, the black oxide coating has held up great, and I would recommend this to anyone!
