With grocery prices so high, I literally sit with a calculator and figure out which deal is best. I divide price by size and get how much you pay per pound. I normally use the 96/4 extra lean, but it has pretty much priced itself out of my budget. The 93/7 is just as good though. Some of my recipes, like meatloaf, take a higher fat content and in that case I go 85/15 or 80/20. I get the huge 4.5lb pack and slit it up into smaller packs for my meals or make hamburger patties. I've found this to be less expensive as I don't normally use a full pound for somethings. It does seem like a lot of money for the item, but break down the price and see the best deal of price/pound.

For my money 80% ground chuck is the best ground beef for pan fried or outdoors grilled burgers, meatloaf, or most dishes. As with most things these days ground beef has become relatively expensive. So buying larger packages and freezing what you aren't immediately cooking is a sensible thing to do.

Convenient. Way faster than butchering your own cow or any random cow you may have acquired. Also cleanup way quicker. Besides have u ever tried to catch a cow, I have, its not as easy as u would think. Recommend buying vs catch n cook. 10/10 🐄
