The rush seat is made up of natural seagrass and the stool frame is constructed of sturdy solid wood. The broad square seat is 13.9" W x 13.9" D, and footrests at two different heights provide added comfort. Aside from comfort and grace, this 24.02 in. counter stool can easily be tucked away under any counter-height table when not in use, helping you save precious floor space which makes these an excellent choice for small spaces. These are what I needed for extra seating when grandchildren visit. Assembled easily. Seats are more like a heavy woven paper. Hopefully will hold up to any spills. I don't think they're for everyday hard use. I wouldn't think very large adults would find them sturdy They don't look cheap . Overall I'm pleased.
