Great Dryer with one minor quibble

Overall, we love the GE dryer. It can hold a lot of clothes, energy usage is low, and it does a great job of drying clothes. The only feature that needs to addressed is that the volume on the end of cycle alarm could be adjusted. The washer and dryer are in a separate space and the dryer alarm is soft you cannot hear it unless you are in the laundry room. I called the dealer and he did some research and said that volume could not be adjusted on that model. I would have that this would a basic feature on all units but it appears that the volume is only adjustable on the very high end units and this unit was not exactly cheap. Maybe GE might include tha feature on a firmware update.

Love it

I love GE and will forever be loyal to this brand. When I have purchased other brands it's always been one problem after another. GE has always been dependable for my family. This dryer is efficient, can dry large capacity items and I love the Smart settings.

Great Performance

One week installed so far. Much more efficient drying times for the dryer and the different settings actually WORK! i washed a down and silk jacket and used the special low heat drying setting and the jacket turned out perfectly without the need to overheat the garment. I dried two sets of king sheets and they were fluffy and not twisted around each other. As a result, no wet spots that required a second run-through to finish drying them.
