Wind Bell 6" - Patina - 6"x6"x38"

This is a solid wind bell. It's quite substantial. I tried it out by carrying it around a bit, and it clanged loudly while I walked. I hung it out in the yard and waited for days before the bell finally caught enough of a breeze to make it ring on it's own. The sounds produced by the wind were deep, low, and resonant. They were softer than the clangs you'll get if you try to operate the bell manually. The best part was that the sounds were unpredictable. I'd be out shoveling dirt and I'd hear a lovely tone, like a church bell. I might hear another one a moment later, or it could be quite a while in between. This added to the general peace and well being I tend to feel when I'm out amongst the flora and fauna in my yard. It did take a particular sort of breeze to hit the bell just right. The patina color is a mellow shade of green. The finish is slightly textured. The bell is easy to hang but it is heavy, so be prepared to find a place to put it that can support its weight. First, I tried hanging it by my door, but then I decided that I'd rather move it to a spot where I'd be sure to hear it more often. I have it hanging from a cattle panel arch, underneath my raspberries at the moment. I'm sure it will eventually make it's way around the whole yard.

Wow!! Extremely happy with this wind bell. Item arrived quickly and has some weight to it. It appears to be of great quality and I’m hoping it will hold up well in the Florida elements. Wind bell has two small curve designs and a large thick disk inside that provides what I would call, a low deep (baritone) sound. It is a welcome addition to my wind chimes. It weigh’s approximately 9 lbs, is 6” across, the main part is almost 12” long, with an overall length of 34”. Highly recommended.
