Superior Trash Management Indeed!

I had a Kenmore compactor at my old place, but it had to stay when I sold the house. My new place didn't have one, and I deliberately went a year to see if I could do without one - Nope! So I found this model at a garage sale, and had a carpenter modify my base cabinet to make space for it. Got it installed and it works beautifully! I dampened the noise a bit by taking the back cover off and packing the cavity with un faced fiberglass insulation (be sure to leave 3 inches or so of clearance around the motor and tracks). I took the front deckplate cover off and put fiberglass in the cavity there as well.

Great Product

Bought this to replace my old Compactor which was maybe 30 years old. While it works great it does not compact as well as my old one but I was expecting that. I only have to take out the trash every week and a half to two weeks. Having said that it is just the wife and I. Every home should have one.

Powerful and efficient!

Big, Wow! This compactor is terrific. I live on an island where trash removal is very expensive. The more I can get into a bag, the cheaper it is for me. Now I compact my trash quickly, allowing me to get 4 times ash much a bag. When paying by the bag, compacting becomes a must. Love this machine.
