Great mixer, powerful

Pros: Convenient, Attractive Design, Compact, Quality Construction Cons: Other thoughts: This is a perfect mixer to complement my stand mixer, and will likely get more use than my small electric one-beater tool. Good power, convenient design, this will work perfectly for most kitchen chores.

It lives up to the Cuisinart name.

Pros: Works Quietly, Even Mixing, Capacity Cons: Difficult to Store Other thoughts: I use the Cuisinart mixer to make my pumpkin bread which is a daily staple in our house. I love how you can switch speeds so easily and how well it blends ingredients. I am an avid yeast bread maker & I would not use this mixer for any of my heavier breads which is not what a hand mixer is for anyway, but it's terrific for cookies, cakes, frostings, pancakes, puddings, quick breads & muffins. Another nice feature is how you can easily move the cord to one side or the other depending on whether you are right or left-handed. Also, you can sit the mixer on your work service so it remains upright in between mixing tasks. The noise it makes is uniform; it isn't a 'whiny' machine like some I have owned. Two cons--and the first could definitely be just me--is getting the 2nd beater 'clicked' into place--I have a little trouble w/that. Also, it does not have a retractable cord for easy storage, so I keep it in its original box for storage between uses. An extra is the big whisk; I use it for mixing dry ingredients together before adding the wet ones to it. I bought this mixer because I trust the Cuisinart brand and I am happy with mixer's performance.

Great Hand Mixer

First, let me say that I use a mixer only a few times a month. That is why I sold my large stand mixer and went for a hand held. Mostly, I use my new Cuisinart to whip up a cake mix or do mashed white or sweet potatoes. Rarely, I will use it for cookie dough. This Cuisinart has everything I wanted in a hand held model: easy to store; everything fits neatly in the included container, then you just lift and put it away in a cupboard. It stays clamped on well, but is easy to remove when you want to use it. So far, it does very nicely for cake mixes. I like having the 9 speed options. I've had no problem with spatters. The controls are easy and convenient to use. Oh, and I love the silver finish. All this, and a 3 year warranty to boot. I highly recommend this mixer for the cook who doesn't need a heavy duty stand mixer. It's nice to have the counter space back that my stand mixer occupied.
