This was exactly what I was looking for. I actually didn't use the U-bolts. I cut the whole thing off shorter in length and welded the outer tubing to the bottom of the mower frame so that it would be flush and not protruding out. And I just insert the inner portion of the hitch when I need to use it. When all done I used some JD paint and now it looks factory and I love it!
