A great chip! An outstanding value!

For anyone, who has lived in or is familiar with the Mid-Atlantic states, the Utz brand is well known and generally regarded as the equal of any national brand chip, such as Frito-Lay. So in this household, there was zilch hesitancy in purchasing them. The only drawback was they were only offered as either BBQ or Sour Cream and Onion flavored chips. We would have preferred plain, but chose the BBQ instead. Purchasing chips in small bags have several advantages, including portion control, and the inconvenience of having to reseal a partially consumed bag. Thus with the small bags one knows exactly how many chips one is going to eat and there is no any danger of having stale chips. And having the smaller bags makes them convenient for packing a lunch. The disadvantages are that these are more difficult to store on a shelf based on the space needed for a full box of individual packs. Although not that much more space considering the equivalent volume of chips if in regular large bags. And finally there is the fact that one is using slightly more packaging per serving compared to large bags. At the time of purchase, these were several dollars a case less expensive than the comparable Frito-Lay offering. Though the price of these chips has since crept up, they were a good value at the time of purchase.
