They are very thin but that was not a problem for me. I like the reversible patterns on the placemats. They are not very large so they would fit on a smaller table, compared to rectangular ones. I think they would work well on a round table especially.

Cute, functional, and durable!

Great: These placemats are well made, have no smell, and look look great on my white tabletop. I like that they are smooth because that makes them easy to clean. When they get really dirty, I immerse them in soapy water in the sink and hand wash them. Otherwise, I just wipe them off. This is my second set—two years ago I ordered the first set of 4 and lost one in a move. Not for everyone: They are a bit small. A standard-sized plate nearly covers them (see photos below). And if you spill on them, they are not big enough to prevent the liquid from getting on your table.
