Caynel 1765 CFM 3-Speed Battery Evaporative Air Cooler for 300 sq ft, White

My U shaped AC got recalled so I decided to get a portable swamp cooler till I got my refund. I picked this one for 2 reasons, 8 gal tank for less filling and a nozzle to hook it up to my utility sink. I have carpet and it wasn't very stable with wheels on carpet because it's narrow. I put it in a plastic storage container with a ruff cloth on bottom so it won't roll around (see pic) and it's good and stable plus if I have any leaks or overfill it there is a descent amount of overflow space. I filled it up and turned it on and it didn't seem to be very cool till I pushed the "cool" button then water started flowing in and down on the pads and it worked fine, this might be why some people say it doesn't cool well it does. I live in northern AZ and the humidity hovers around 14 to 25% most of the year so swamp coolers are something I've used all my life and they work very good here (except during monsoons then they just become fans haha) that also might be why some people think they don't work. Evaporative coolers are NOT air conditioners! If you live in the south or someplace like Florida I imagine these would be useless for most of the year so don't even bother. Theres a pic of the remote, it's kinda tricky to get it open. I opened it cause it's glitchy. I have an ice maker and put a bunch of ice in the top and it did get cooler but only for about 20 or 30 minutes. The ice packs they give you tunr to gel after they are frozen and then put in the top and they work very good for a while to cool things off even more. I am very happy with this cooler and even in the summer it can get kinda freezing at night.
